I watched this and had one question – how can a vehicle be unrestored if its been repainted? They announced at least two cars as unrestored that had been resprayed.

We recently switched gas suppliers last fall so maybe that option isn’t available right away.

I couldn’t do a contract the first year. The Blanchardville co-op offers a contract after one year of service.

Anyone here heat with propane? Prices have been rising rapidly because of a number of factors: farmers drying corn, overseas exports, loss of a pipeline, hellish cold. Out where there is fracking being done they are burning it off as it reaches the surface because they have no way of storing it or shipping it to where it is needed. They are talking about rail shipping but say it will be 3 years before a line is operational. I paid as little as 1.49/gallon(quick pay price) a few months ago, next fill up will cost at least 2.25/gallon(quick pay price). My brother heats a garage with propane, he got screwed to the tune of 3.86/gallon by a local provider in Madison. It definitely pays to shop around. The consumer gets royally screwed again.

I heat with propane. I sign a contract every summer that locks me in at a low price for the year. Blanchardville co-op was just here about two weeks ago and filled the tank, they come while I’m at work, fill it, and leave a copy of the truck reciept on the door knob.

The cold is definately a factor right now with the pricing.

I was at a friends house today, and we watched almost all of today’s auction. BJ totally inflates the prices of the vehicles they are auctioning off and turns into a testicle measuring contest with wallets. I will say, there were some cars today and that I thought sold for fair prices.

I enjoy watching the Mecum auctions more. Its not laced with the wealthy and the famous like Barrett Jackson. Cars there go for much more realistic prices and Mecum will negotiate to sell the car if its close to the reserve.

Their “muscle car expert” stated that Buick made 587 GNXs.

Buick made 547 GNXs. The car that went over the block was #487.

I was getting aroused when that arctic white hemi super bird showed up :)

Last night late 70’s Trans Am’s were $40 to $50k. Prices across the board seem very strong. I think there are substantially more buyers this year.

That’s a ridiculous amount of money for those cars. I wouldn’t ever pay kind of money for a late 70s trans am, not even if Burt Reynolds farted in it while holding Jerry Reeds ashes!

What does Nat Geo have to do with the automobile? I’ve never once seen any car-related article in the magazine.

Seems like more money ball being played if you ask me. They should stick to one channel.

1994 was also the year Dodge redesigned their truck body style, after having the same appearance from 1976-93.

I get none of those channels, but I can’t justify having a dish for only a few programs I would watch.

I have replacement rear bumper fillers that I need to paint and install before it gets nice enough to drive the car. The factory ones have cracked and look like poo after 26 years. I also want to get some new Autometer gauges for the pillar pod I bought and intended to install last year. For some reason, my rear tires wear faster than the fronts do, must be an alignment issue ;) The gasket for the tranny oil pan is leaving drips on the garage floor, so I need to address that also. I’m also recharging the air conditioning and going to figure out why the cruise control doesn’t work. These are two accessories I’ve decided I want to be able to use :) I could also use some new sunvisors.

If my savings account says its alright, I would like to get my windows re-tinted, but before I do that I want to replace the window clips first. The weather strips are also original, and I would like to redo all of those too.

I am more concerned with being able to drive it and enjoy it.

1994 was the first production year of the Dodge Viper. That would be my choice, even though the build quality of those cars is terrible.

The Viper concept debuted way back in 1989 at the Detroit Auto Show and the first year of production was actually 1992….

You know, I’m wrong and you’re right. For some reason I was thinking it was ’94…. Probably because the first generation Vipers (a real POS) were faster than anything else offered domestically that year. And that really isn’t saying much!

    $35 ??? Are they serious?

Maybe its run by Goodguys?

I see Weavers is sponsoring it, but the money for registration needs to be sent to Indiana. Where are the proceeds going? To a local charity, or is someone in this for profit and got Weavers to sponsor it as they are a local company?

Spectator only here. And at that, by the time you pay for parking and an admission, you’ll have spent most of a $20 bill doing that.
