Have you considered putting in a garage flooring on top of the concrete? I think Tailored Living has some nice products:

I like there flooring options, but I’m sure the price is healthy. I’m going to use concrete paint right now to make the floor look better, and help control the dust. Of course, with a gravel driveway right now, I’ll still have dust

15 out of 17, not too bad.

I like those quizzes, there fun and sometimes you learn something you didn’t know.

    Yes, I am.

Interest rates will skyrocket on everything from car loans to credit cards to mortgages. Better to pay off what you owe on now, and ride this thing out. Save your money, and in the end you will be happier because you did.

I’m actually thinking of taking out of some of my investments and pay the tax on the money now, use it wisely, and invest the borrowed amount back over the course of a year.

I still don’t have my interior walls finished off, but I’ve been reorganizing and relocating shelves, cabinets, etc. I also added a new used 13 drawer roller toolbox, that way all of my tools can be in one spot for once. Have to paint one half of the concrete floor that has been poisoned by oil spots from the last couple of cars I’ve had :)

“a few dented mid 90s? why?”

Because even though you may think these cars are junk, they may be special to the people that own them. If I recall, the $10 went to a community organization, correct? I agree that paying a registration for a non-judged show isn’t fair – unless the money is going to help a charity or civic organization.

I too like judged shows, by judges. Participant voting has its moments, and have only been to one show where participant voting isn’t an abortion.

Thank you both for your replies, there are quite a few options that week but Black Earth was one I had considered each year and was looking to check it out this year….a biannual show is an interesting thought, wonder how that might affect participation.

It will probably bring different cars to each show. I’m thinking about Cobb next weekend, not too far of a drive and they have the women’s volleyball tournament going on during the show.

If I had a nipple for every girl playing in the tourney… Just kidding, its the breast damn volleyball tournament in Iowa County

I thought high gas prices were George Bush’s fault?

It cost $78 to fill my truck up the other day, I can piss and moan all I want but its not going to change the price. Now that they have once again raised the debt ceiling and the stock market will tank, perhaps fuel prices will come down?? Maybe, maybe not.

I won one of the three class awards here last year, and since I couldn’t make it this year it gave someone else a shot to win.

No shows for me tomorrow now. While at the Nationwide race at Elkhart Lake, I filled out some promo to win a free vacation…. And I did. Have to go to Milwaukee tomorrow morning to claim it :)

    Thank You……

to the many of you who stopped to check on us on the way back from Fox Lake. My car show buddy, Dick, had mechanical problems and broke down on 151 just south of Columbus. Special thanks to John, Micki, Jennifer, Scott, Sharon, Franco, Jessie and several others whose names I have forgotten. I was reminded, again, that “car people” are the first to take care of their own and others, broke down alongside the road.

Prairieland Towing came out with a flatbed and got Dick loaded up and enroute back home by 6:45. Thanks to Columbus PD for sending out a marked unit with overhead lights to keep up protected unit the tow truck arrived.

Always good to know there’s people out there willing to stop and help a fellow enthusiast. I agree with Plum Crazy, if I was at this show and saw you on the side of the road, I too would stop to help in any way (even if my fan club was there  )

Never been to this show, maybe next year?

Those events that have an engine blowup kinda piss me off. If the body is rusted, it doesn’t mean that that car wouldn’t make someone dependable transportation. Hell, even the parts may keep other cars on the road.

Can’t say that I wouldn’t expect anything sensible out of people from Edgerton, the ones I’ve met are all a bunch of backwoods hillrods and urban hillbillies anyway.

Weather permitting, we might check out the Poynette show… I’ve had enough of sitting at shows when it’s 95 in the shade and 110% humidity! :(

Yep, but now I’m just used to it.

I think I’ll check out this Poynette shindig also. Was going to maybe check out that Deerfield show until I got your reply text
