Had fun going to the car show in Batavia Il . It was nice to see some different cars.The highlight of the show was when a 76 Pinto wagon pulled in! They were a couple from Fordpinto.com web site that saw I was going to the show and drove over to meet my wife and I.There were about 100 cars.Not too bad of a day to start, a bit windy and cloudy, the VFW building was there if you wanted to go get something to eat and warm up.The rain held off in time to do the awards. I am just shy of 14,000 miles for the summer so I will be driving my car a couple of more weeks to make it to 14k.
I just found out there will be no police escort this year.We are on our own driving from Bristol,following ALL traffic rules!
I will be attending Volo Toys for Tots Cruise Sunday. I have done it the last two years, its a Blast! Leaves at 10:00am Sunday morning from the Bristol Diner on hwy 45.Police escort to the museum.Last year there were 700+ cars there.If you believe the weather man, right now, looks like sun and mid 60’s.
I have been here at Jefferon since yesterday,plan to stay through tomorrow.So far not too bad, even a little sun this morning, clouding up now.

yea was a bit soggy at Beloit, but I still had a good time,hanging out with friends,talking cars , meeting new people
Sunday we went to the car show in Roscoe at Lensing Historic Auto Museum 200 plus cars.Nice show.Saturday we went on a car cruise with six Pintos along the Rock river in Il., part of our 911 Wounded Warrior Stampede weekend at Rockcut State Park.A special thanks to Rock River Ford in Rockford, one of our stops, for donating $1,000 to Wounded Warrior Project!!!

Ill be going to Wednesday Night Classics show tomorrow at Weissgerber’s GASTHAUS. This weekend camping out with other Pintos at Rockcut State Park near Rockford.A Pintostampede event. Saturday we plan to cruise the Rockford area and then attend Central Christian Church car show in Rockford.Not sure about Sunday.
