Every school around is closed, including UW Madison and Madison schools… Sounds like a great day to stay home!

Agreed Ryan… my only beef with them is the still blame the RA for something another club did years ago.. Get your clubs straight!

I’m pretty sure they plan the weekend when they can and don’t worry about anything else. For years the show was held the third weekend in January, I think they move it around according to what’s going on and hoping for better weather. The year we had the Chevelle in, Thursday and Friday were warm and beautiful, by Sunday we were driving home in a snowstorm. :(

We are going on Saturday, can’t miss the great american race ~ the official start of racing season for me! :)

Interesting comments and story behind the car…

I agree with these comments also (except about the Chevelles, BJ always bring the Corvettes and there are plenty of buyers) ~

As a side note, this year’s B-J coverage by The Speed Channel had to be the worst ever. I wasn’t counting, but it seemed like four cars per hour were shown being auctioned.

The rest of the time, you were being “treated” to stupid stories about the world’s biggest motorcycle or some B-list celeb selling one of his cars. YAWN!

When a car actually came up for auction, you still had more garbage to suffer through, such as:

    * Charity auctions for shitty cars that nobody wants to buy, but probably gets strong-armed into doing so they get invited to Craig’s Christmas party.

    * Super-customized cars that have as much chance of being street-driven as a Tonka truck.

    * A seemingly endless supply of 66-67 Corvettes and 69-70 Chevelles. Don’t get me wrong, they are cool cars, but I don’t need to see twelve of them.

It is interesting to hear from someone that was there, thank you.

Personally, I was disappointed in Saturday night and the amount of time they took on some of the cars (the ambulance and the boat, whatever that was), and the lack of time on others. There were some really good cars lined up that never got any airtime and others that didn’t seem to bring much interest were on stage forever. The charity cars also cause huge backups, I didn’t think they brought the money this year they have in the past. I didn’t notice Ron Pratt buying too much this year (or missed some of the cars he bought), Rick Hendrick on the other hand, bought several! :)

None of that matters now because the Packers are Super Bowl bound!!! :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:

I would’ve liked to seen a better game, the 3 and out got old quickly, and was disappointed to see Cutler roll over and play dead so quickly. There are many that don’t like Aaron Rodgers, but he’s one heck of a QB, and I think has put the ghost of Brett Favre firmly behind him… now if only Favre would go away and quit trying to keep the spotlight in his corner, life would be good! :cheer:

Congrats to the entire organization, they were written off months ago, guess we proved them wrong!

One of the gauges in the Chevelle decided to stop working at the end of the year… got the new one this week ~ we’ll be ripping the dash apart before May! :(

So how does that work for all the people that have collector plates on their 20+ year old pieces of crap that they use as daily drivers?

I’ve never seen anyone pulled over for driving a car with collector plates in January… and why January, if you have collector plates there should be provisions on what they go on, isn’t that what they were designed for? I say no driving from November until April, normally the six months the cars are in storage?

Wisconsin coaches got too comfortable… why didn’t they try to run in the two point conversion?

Oh well, it’s a new year ~ you can’t win them all and TCU was obviously a better team
