Sent my registration in today!
circletrackParticipantThanks! I think we’ll give this a try!
circletrackParticipantIt sure would be nice if the Stewart’s could actually drive that car!
circletrackParticipantI think I’m going to head over to the Armory Show on Saturday after going out to breakfast with some Apples….
I can’t believe it’s July already, summer will be gone before we know it!
circletrackParticipantAaron, have you thought about going outside Oregon for a non-profit group? Our scouts are not from Sun Prairie, you may have more luck with a group in Evansville that would love to help you!
circletrackParticipantAaron, you did a great job with what you had to work with….
My only suggestion would be to have some sort of coffee in the morning, I heard more than one ask for that. Also, yes the food vendor was late but even after they arrived they were running out of food so there is no way they would’ve been prepared if you would’ve had another 50-75 cars. I would work on a different food vendor, maybe even more than one, for next year.
Otherwise, the awards and dash plaques looked great, not sure what you were worrying about!
Great job, see you next year!
circletrackParticipantThanks guys! We work really hard to make this show one that’s great for everyone and I’m glad it seems to be working. We had a couple glitches today, nothing to worry about. I was so thankful the weather held out and glad everyone had a good time. The free ice cream was a HUGE hit all around.
We will take your comments into consideration, there is always room for improvement.
circletrackParticipantDwight, what class do you want to be in? We don’t have a problem with either class.
We also have a modified 1980 to present class.
circletrackParticipantYou all know where I’ll be on Saturday with the Road Apples… I hope to see everyone there.
Sunday we’re also headed to Oregon, Aaron had a great show last year, I’m sure 2010 will be even better!!
circletrackParticipantDon’t see any shows listed… let’s hope the rain stops sooner or later for the cruise nights!
circletrackParticipantYears ago this show used to be a benefit for the Girl Scouts (I think) and was a good show. I think the town/chamber wanted to take it over and the scouts backed out. Sounds like another perfect example of the Chamber wanting to take over something with $$$ signs in their eyes?? Sometimes it’s better to leave things alone.
circletrackParticipantWe had never been to the show before and I’ll just say it’s an amazing event and you cannot fathom the number of cars they pack in that place until you see it firsthand!!! Cars from every state, cars of every shape, size and condition. Vendors for just about anything and miles and miles and miles of cars. It was a very fun weekend!
I’m pretty sure they do not allow anyone to keep their cars in the lot overnight, but I also don’t understand how the park fills so quickly given we left the hotel at 5:30 a.m. on Saturday and had to get in line for the gates to open at 6:00. We had to wait for a parking lot to empty near us before we could go and there had to be 500+ cars in the lot. When we got into the fairgrounds around 6:30 there had to easily be 2000 cars already parked.
I would highly recommend the show!
Ryan, that last pic of Blue Chip is Bruce Stewart’s car, not sure if you knew that or not.
circletrackParticipantWe are headed to Back to the 50’s on Thursday. I’ve never been there before, so I have no idea what to expect. Should be a great time no matter what!
circletrackParticipantWe consider those two seater cars…
circletrackParticipantMe, me, me!!! I promise to behave!
