Good idea Marshall! I think that’s probably the biggest show of 30s-era cars around here.
GaribaldiKeymasterFantastic Marshall glad to hear it! After seeing those two beauties up close the other week I can tell this car is a true classic winner and if you get one I’m sure you will really really enjoy it! icon_punk.gif
GaribaldiKeymasterQuote:Love that Lost In The Fifties truck. I can just imagine Hank Williams Sr. driving that Caddy.Yeah what a beautiful car! I love those classic 50s lines!
GaribaldiKeymasterThanks a lot for the live blogging Ryan! This is fantastic! thumbsup.gif thumbsup.gif thumbsup.gif
GaribaldiKeymasterGlad to hear about the Jim Normington Memorial award! I will be out of town this week and sadly won’t be able to attend any shows! crybaby2.gif  Enjoy Iola everyone and hopefully this year Blanchardville won’t be blistering hot! blob8.gif
GaribaldiKeymasterIt almost looks like the photos for that Roush were taken at the Verona show’s location
GaribaldiKeymasterYeah that is a tough situation. A good point is that you being there would be an attraction to bring some people to the cruise night to check out your work and talent, which would of course then would benefit Gus’s. I think lilwillie’s suggestion of stopping in to talk to him in more detail is a good idea.
GaribaldiKeymasterExcellent, I’m really looking forward to this!
GaribaldiKeymasterQuote:I think there is going to be a ton of folks at the Amory Show. As of this post there have been 810 views on the calendar about the show. When I looked at it last night there were 713 views.http://www.wiscollectorcar.com/calendar/2008-07-06/1st_annual_armory_all_car_show_madison_wi.html
Very impressive, now up over 850
GaribaldiKeymasterRate The Cruise Night:
Accessibility (easy to get to): A
Parking Location: B – like GTO Man said they ran out of room
Entertainment: A – good music and not too loud
Food: B
Prizes: A – plaque as usual
Timing (day/hours): A
Variety of Cars (week-to-week): A++!! As mentioned a Ford GT and TWO brand new 2008 Dodge Challengers. I’ve never seen one of these before in person so that was a great treat. It’s a truly fantastic car that lives up to its muscle car heritage. Last I heard I think the car count was over 170.Overall Rating: A
GaribaldiKeymasterThanks for the info, sounds interesting!
GaribaldiKeymasterLooks like a nice show! :gears:
GaribaldiKeymasterI think I’ll check out the Armory too
GaribaldiKeymasterSounds like a fun little show! icon_punk.gif
GaribaldiKeymasterThanks for the clarification; the person I spoke with must not have had the full picture. I’m glad that it was set up to only allow 1 trophy per vehicle. As we’ve discussed in recent threads one car taking many awards can be a problem at shows. I’ve also updated my rating to reflect this new information
