Madison College Pride in Your Ride Car Show
“We are disappointed too. There were many factors. As a fundraiser, we have to make sure participation and donations can cover expenses. Due to lower show attendance and lower enrollment (students run the show), we just didn’t see it was feasible”Typical Spring Jefferson weather again this year! 90% chance of rain for Saturday and 40% chance for Sunday.
At one time, several years ago, this was one of the top car shows in the Madison area. They were advertising heavily, attendance was over the top, turn out was excellent, and the show was getting rave reviews. It was a well run show with great awards and celebrities picking out the top awards. But this past couple of years, you could see that the show was slipping and falling apart. There was a lack of coordination, fliers weren’t being printed or distributed, food was expensive, and nobody seemed to care. Overall, there just seemed to be a lack of interest in this show.
Anyway, thanks to Madison College and the Auto Tech program for those great car shows in years past!
It’s been about 7 months since the 2018 Potosi show. I’d say it’s a pretty sure bet that you won’t ever see a trophy from that show.
Have you had any recent dealings with the MOPAR authority Gale Gopher? I wonder why Mark Warman (Graveyard Carz) never refers to him? He (Gale Gopher) doesn’t get alot of respect on the For A Bodies Only (FABO) forum.

Actually, Hell, MI did freeze over last night according to GMA! Anybody actually ever been to Hell, MI?
I haven’t seen anything on any of the car forums, FB, or online yet. The Point Burger Bar hasn’t been open all that long yet.
I agree, it would be nice to see a well run cruise night out there on Thursday nights, with some incentive for driving out there with a collector car. We can only hope!
My experience with Old National Bank has been different. I had been with Anchor Bank since 1993, so I was skeptical when Old National bought them out. But, looking back, I have been completely happy with their service. There is a branch location within 2 miles of my home and I have several checking accounts, savings account, and a CD. My mortgage was with Old National up until I paid it off last year. I have not paid any service charges and I do not pay for checks.
On the other hand, I have found it easier and quicker to do telephone banking to Indiana and/or bank online as the tellers at the local branch are not very helpful, and are typically new and inexperienced.
