I am so looking forward to this. Aaron called me and I will be doing the music again this year!

It’s relatively easy to pick and choose different things, events, political machinations to make ones point. It’s called spin. I remember the price and wage freezes during the Ford and Carter admins. I was unemployed and homeless during some of this time and finding work was hard. I heard Reagan speak in Milwaukee shortly after I returned from California. Despite those things that GTOman brought up, you cannot deny that the Reagan era was also a time of prosperity for many of us. And my tax rate was around 20% during his admin, not 38% and was in no way wealthy. Even in the shadow of his mistakes (Iran/Contra, air traffic controller strikes), I believe he was a decent man, an honorable one, much better than the man that is now in office. Maybe we should just blame George Washington for starting all this mess. No man (or government) is perfect, not Reagan, Bush, Obama or any of the pols in office. I do think that the government needs to quit spending like drunken sailors and taking over the political process as they did this time with the Health care bill. If you think a 3 trillion cost is high…just wait.

I like how they refer to the guy in the back as a “cuffed guest”.

I was at the show Saturday with the Lovely Lori. We scored free tix to get in and only had to pay parking. Show was great. I really liked all the cars and saw some new stuff as well. John Ritzow’s 55 Chrysler was outstanding…not a boo boo or flaw on the entire car. Truly a testament to Troy Trepanier’s work. I also liked the 51 Ford built by the highschool shop class from Roseville High near Detroit. Those young people did an awesome job. The reason for the State fair people screwing up load in are as numerous as sands on the beach. Their handling of the Milwaukee Mile and the WoW show kind of says they don’t like anything to do with the auto hobby.

That does happen on rivers. I was on the Wisconsin River neart the dells and I fell through. I thought I was a goner, but all I did was hit the old ice about a foot deeper. I was about 12 years old and I never went on the ice ever again. i felt that was God telling me “The next time you walk on the ice, yer gettin’ wet”.

LED lights are not a dumb idea. I’m sure the thought of their needing a way to shed ice wasn’t even thought of. In the future, a system could be added kind of like defroster grids on a car’s back window. I find street signs that get covered more annoying.

I like the Mustang IIs. When you think of it, that car is closer to the original concepts that the 71-73 series. Yet this car tends to be reviled by clubs.

The local GTO club (Original GTO Club) has excepted the new GTOs. Pontiac named them GTOs, so hence, they are actual GTOs. I like the Nova based ones myself.

    Update:

I was talking with an aquaintance of mine today that knows Jim Caudle. I made mention of recent events and asked what he thought. He did confirm that Jim is sick, but getting the help he needs and is doing everything he can to earn a speedy recovery. This was good to hear!

I wont get into other details, mainly because they are not my business nor anyone elses.

I find it amusing that when things or life changing experiences don’t go Lance’s way, he would have the audacity to act so childish by claiming someone’s illness is a hoax. A person’s life is no joke. Just goes to show the character of Lance Peterson. I’ve said he was a scumbag before… If you want to read his posts, here is a link to his Facebook page: http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=661910472&ref=nf#/profile.php?id=1461227013&v=wall

With an attitude like this, I can’t imagine why he went out of business…. 3 times.

His page is locked and I don’t think I want to ask an alledged douche for friend status. Pretty bad when people have to resort to douchery.
