If your looking to have some paint work done, I could recommend some places/painters to do the work.
The painter at Thorstad’s does a pretty good job
moparkid25ParticipantI recognize a couple of cars in his photo’s. The white ’59 Ford belongs to Joe Powell, a member of the RoadApples. Joe also used to own the ’69 Fairlane when it was dark blue and didn’t have the 20″+ wheels on it.
moparkid25ParticipantAgreed. All politicans, lobbyists, etc. should have there pay looked at and regulated. They should also not be allowed to accept any donataions, contributions, or grants that do not help the will of the free country.

I believe that I have heard Belinda Posto (organized the Rev Jim get togethers last year) speak of them and may have used this shop to work on her car (66 ImpalaSS convertible) last year.
Marshall,
Musclecar Performance used to be called House of Horsepower. Same Hacks, different name. If you appreciate and care for your car, Don’t take it there. Probably not right for me to say it being a business owner myself that specializes in collector cars and hot rods, but due to my past experiences with Lance and his group of ex-cons I feel the need to tell everyone to stay away from them.
moparkid25ParticipantOn a side note, I find Keith Olbermann utterly repulsive, with Alan Colmes a close second.
moparkid25ParticipantAs a Republican/very conservative voter, even I have to ask the question, “How can you fail any worse than GWB?” I will give Bush this-there haven’t been any attacks on our country since 9/11 with him in office. However, every other country in the world is pissed off at us.
Some of Obama’s energy policies scare me. Actually most of the liberals policies scare me, but I have to ask a good question that was asked to me the day after the election – Is anything really going to change? I don’t know. I’m more willing to give Obama a shot now than a few months ago (but now I really don’t have a choice either).
You can ask Rush Limbaugh this question now, and in 4 years. He’ll still find something negative. Heck, he slammed McCain everyday up to the election!
On a personal note, I’m more of a O’Reilly/Hannity/Liddy type of guy:laugh:
moparkid25ParticipantThis was an interesting one to watch last year, they had camera guys in the crowd folloing the bidder assistants. The assistants there are very, how do I say, pushy. One guy blew up at them with a slew of profane words, but thanks to great tv editing they didn’t get it all bleeped in time
I also notice you see more “blue collar” folks at the Mecum auctions buying and selling cars. To me, these are the people that really enjoy them because they drive them, show them, etc. They’re not the type to buy-buy-buy on national television and then have them sitting in a warehouse as part of a personal collection.
moparkid25Participantits a lil cold yet for a cruise in though…
moparkid25ParticipantGot my booklet also. My room has been reserved for this year since I left last year.
Let the games begin!!!
moparkid25ParticipantAutomotion is always my personal “Daytona 500” of car show season. I enjoy two days of the show, the Dells nightlife that weekend, and being able to be out with friends. I usually have a few beers that weekend too:P
Like Marshall, I too enjoy Albany. Always a great selection of nice cars at that show, I like the location, the food is good, nice door prizes, and a fun drive.
Lancaster was a small show that I enjoy, and that is a nice drive out there via the Stitzer By-Pass (you gotta be from around my parts to fully understand Stitzer Bypass).
One show that I’m really looking forward to is the RoadApples show in Sun Prairie. Now that its under new direction by a great group of people out to not make a name for themselves like the previous car-show Nazi, it should be organized a lot better, judged a lot better, and be much more enjoyable. Things are in full swing for this show, and it should be quite the occasion!
I always favor Mopars on the Mississippi in Dubuque before Labor Day. Good, fun, and fast drive. Lotsa nice sheet metal, and you can catch some rare stuff you only see in magazines.
moparkid25ParticipantThat guy buys cars like there no big deal. Must be nice to drop 6 figures and not break a sweat.
moparkid25ParticipantI see new cars everyday, it would be like going to work.

Well, now putting that picture on the internet with you sitting in it will definately not help the value 😆
moparkid25ParticipantThat camaro was a darn nice car! Someone should feel good about buying that!
moparkid25ParticipantLooks like I’m the first forum member to have furnace troubles. The darn thing is 4 months old and I started having troubles last night. I got one of them four stage thermostats for selecting different temps, its programmed to be low during the day while I’m gone to save some propane, but be up to 68* when I get home. I got home last night and it was 55 in the house:angry: I called the guy who installed it and he walked me thru a relearn procedure and got the house warmed up last night. I went to bed and everything was still on the up and up. got up at 6am and the furnace shut off again in the middle of the night and its currently 49 inside the house:angry:
Waiting for the service people to get here to fix it so I can get to work. Scottsdale is looking better and better everyday.
