Amigo2kModeratorI was wondering about some of the open cars. I thought maybe they would of covered them with a small personal pop-up tent.
Amigo2kModeratorI’m planning on heading there tomorrow. Lets hope some of the owners stick around, before they have to leave for home.

Amigo2kModeratorI drove out to the Marriott tonight, there were about 175-200 cars. They had most of the lot blocked off for rods, a live band. It was set up like a typical car show setting with folks sitting behind their cars. You didn’t need to be part of the Good Guys, you could just drive in and park. The cars going to the Good Guys show have window stickers, and the highest number I saw was 1053.
After this I swung over to East Wash. The dealership at Stoughton road and East Wash had some of the classic cars out for sale, and the guys from House of Horse Power were their too. They had a Tent, and chairs set up to watch the cars drive by. I didn’t see many cars during my lap. I did see a few cops ready to jump into action though. . .

Amigo2kModeratorQuote:Americruise came into town the hotels were booked days in advance! That was the name of cruise, when they parked the cars around the capitol. I remember I was in college and brought a video camera to tape some of the cars.
I’m planning on heading out after work tonight, to take a cruise by some of the hotels to see if there are a bunch of cars around and then take a lap on East Wash.
I’m hoping the rain stays away ….
Amigo2kModeratorIt was another great Thursday night at the Lube! Thank you to Jon and the gang for coordinating it, and thanks for having Johny Rocker there.
It was great seeing some of the cars that will be attending the Good Guys show this year.
No worries, about the yahoos who couldn’t park their cars a 100ft closer with the other cars for a couple of hours. It is too bad they can’t think logically about it and realize they can still park and walk around and enjoy the cars just like everyone else.
Amigo2kModeratorI think the Good Guys tickets are like 13 bucks, and they are handing out coupins for 2 bucks off.
Amigo2kModeratorI’m planning on heading the QSL right after work to grab super and enjoy a lot full of cars (right now the weather is looking good).
Saturday afternoon I’m planning on heading to the good guys as spectator (if not saturday then sunday).
I’m guessing there will be a lot of cars cruising East Wash Friday and Saturday night (I have a friend that owns a business on East Wash by the capitol and he is planning on letting a few friends park their cars there, and sit in a couple of chairs to watch the cars go by….).
Amigo2kModeratorI went for about 45 minutes as a spectator. At least 75% of the cars there, I have not seen anywhere at shows this year. This show is heavily dominated by foreign cars (which are cool to see, since you never see them.
It is a great setting, and I’m pretty sure they were only letting the folks who preregistered in for the show.

Amigo2kModeratorQuote:Trophies & Prizes – They gave 6 awards away and 5 of them went to people they know.I found this a little odd, too. It seems for most of the awards they gave away the presenter had a story about them…. 10 years ago I drove him up to …. 30 years ago I remember he was building the truck …. so on ….
It might be better if it was just a show and shine, and put some of the fee (5 bucks) toward door prizes (like the show in Deforest).
Amigo2kModeratorSpecific Ratings (A-F):
Arrival/Departure (easy to find, easy to leave?) -Lots of large sandwich board signs leading you to the show site. Super easy to findParking Location – Parking lot asphalt, no real shade. No one to help you park or find a place to park (this show is pretty small, so that is not a surprise). The last 15 or so cars had to drive through and look for a place to park on the side street (also a vendor selling golf cars that looked like rods and hummers had like half of one driveway blocked which made it a challenge for later folks to get their cars to the street to park.
Class Organization – none
Trophies & Prizes – They gave away door prizes, no clue what they were giving. They gave out like 6 Throphies, but I’m not sure who or how they picked them?
Food – There was a cream puff trailer, that was selling puffs, fried cheese curds and bottles of water and soda (2 bucks a bottle, is a little steep). The show is a half block off the main drag, so there was plenty of places to grab a bite (I went to a bar called Sonny’s bar and grill).
Entertainment – They had a DJ spinning the tunes. More tunes then talk.
Judging – none.
Dash Plaque – yup, a nice smaller one.
Variety of Cars – from Muscle cars, to Model A’s, to 4 doors, to Rods to Rat rods, to Trucks. A little bit of everything. About 120 cars were there
Bathrooms – 2 porta johns on one end. Which I think was perfect due to the small size of the show.
Weather – I waited and waited, thinking it was going to rain, but then the rain disappeared, so I hit the road!
Trophy Presentation Timing – started at 2pm, and they were going to do it at 3PM
Entry Fee – 10 bucks day of show. A little steep for a show this size, that isn’t organized into classes of cars.
Overall Rating:B+
Next year they were talking about moving it to a park, that has some shade and can hold more cars (they were maxed out).
Amigo2kModeratorAny pics of the willy? I think I remember it ….
