Ok I’m ready to report on Courtesy Auto Service owned by Dave Zipperer, located at 3030 Milwaukee st. Madison, WI 53714! I dropped it off on 15May at noon. Dave scheduled me in on for the next day on the 16th. At 7:30PM on the 15th he called to let me know it was done!
The next day at about noon I picked it up, and he was happy to see me because he was sick of folks stopping in wanting to know if the car was for sale!
He was able to get the gasket in without dropping the engine so it was a pretty cheap fix!
I already told him I’m bringing it back to him next year after it comes out of storage to allow him to give it a once over for the summer.

The back of the automotion brochure lists all of fines for smoken the tires on the streets and drinking on sidewalks. I’m sure there will be a huge law enforcement presence this year.
I’m planning on going to Automotion saturday .(I’m planning on leaving early morning ,like 7am, because looking at the weather it is suppose to be super nice, so I would bet there is going to be more cars then there was last year …).
I’m dropping the bug off Tuesday to the mechanic to have the engine bay gasket replaced and I’m hoping I get it back Friday….
I drove by this area today looking and I didn’t happen to see 2 cars under tarps. Do yo think they are still there?

Any thoughts on contacting the folks running cars on state to see if they want to link to the photo album?
Right now if you google: cars on state street the first post here on this board is what pops up (hence the reason why it got so many views over the last 2 months).
This seems WAY under priced right?
