After many years serving the classic car community, Wisconsin Collector Car will be shutting down at the end of 2024. Thank you for all of the car show memories!

First show I will be attending will be Jefferson which takes place April 23-24. It is usually alot of fun because people are anticipating the start of good weather and getting their cars out. There are usually alot of cars for sale and thousands of vendors. Fall Jefferson last year had as many good cars for sale as I have ever seen there. It seemed like a number of people were selling cars they didn’t really want to but because of economic conditions felt they needed to.

Yeah Fall Jefferson was really good last year, I was quite impressed. I can’t wait for Spring Jefferson!!

That is The Weight by the group The Band. Very good music. I have their greatest hits cd:

Either Jefferson (Jefferson, WI) or Grayslake (Grayslake, IL). I know Grayslake because I work at the car show.

I’ve added the Grayslake info BTW.

Should I just got through and enable it for all of them or ask them first? Or enable it and then send out a mass email saying how to disable it again?

That is essentially what this would be, it would notify you whenever someone relies to a topic. It wouldn’t keep sending you emails if for instance say 3 people posted, just the first one. Then after you visit and see the topic and maybe post a reply it will notify you again. As far as new threads you wouldn’t get any notification but that is just what you could do when you browse the forum each day. Also on the main forum index on the top right there is a link for “View Posts Since Last Visit” that you can use too:
    http://www.wiscollectorcar.com/forum/search.php?search_id=newposts
Personally I just find it easier to browse the forum. Is that sort of setup what you were thinking?

I never did, it would be nice to have one, especially now. I feel that I could still make a profit from a limited edition.

Did we mention the ‘Cuda that was on Nash Bridges? That was a nice ride.

It seems like that needs to be a signature requirement for every cop based TV show, a flashy or signature car.

The Ford Torino in Starsky and Hutch is another example of that, a flashy police car.

Where was that Mopar Meet? It must have been indoors or down south! I actually already went to Volo too, but its not really a car show icon_wink.gif

Well depending on their policy’s they could go as far as canceling your account requiring you to find a new server. Most hosts have a zero tolerance towards spamming and any inclination on their part that you have usually results in cancellation. Remember any unsolicited e-mail can be considered spam.

As far as the usergroup you set up a usergroup and call it the Wisconsin Car Collector Newsletter” or whatever and make it an open group that anyone can join. You don’t move anyone into it but make them aware that it’s there and what it’s for which would be an occasional newsletter from yourself. You can use the mass e-mail function by just selecting the newsletter group so only they receive it.

That sounds good. Its always better to be safe than sorry!!

Yep, I have all of Sliders on VHS and ST: VGR. I don’t buy a whole lot of movies either, I feel that you can rewatch tv shows alot more.

That’s a nice Renegade! Did you end up buying it or not?

    Hi guys
yes with rusty cars and rusty memories it is a great idea to write things down . lots of parts start to look the same when you have no idea were they came from . Kinda keeps you from taking things apart somany times.
Have you ever held a part up and did a 180 with it a few times thinking (now how the heck did that gizmo fit on there) do that a half a dozen times and the hours could add up real quick . Now not so bad for the novice but your customer would not like seeing that on his or her bill at the end of the week. icon_rolleyes.gif

Yep, I’ve done that! Or the other one that happens alot if you’re not careful is, “oh, where does this bolt go?” and it takes you forever to figure it out. Also its really good to label everything so you keep the right and left side stuff seperate.
