After many years serving the classic car community, Wisconsin Collector Car will be shutting down at the end of 2024. Thank you for all of the car show memories!

I was driving down on Francis St. last night and there were large patches of ice on the road. It wasn’t the slipperiness that had me concerned but rather the height of these chunks… it really wasn’t good for the suspension!

    Global Warming where are u?

In an odd way, it is still present. Global warming not only causes warmer temperatures but really a higher presence of extremes. So you will see hotter summers and colder winters – as well as an increase in drought in some areas while increased flooding in others.

Yeah I’m sick of it, the cold mostly. I don’t mind the snow but the constant feeling of being cold outside gets old quick

Agreed, especially the GS and GSX. When I see these at shows I always like them and its too bad that they’re not more widely recognized

I think that there are a lot of the “tri-5” chevys out there at the shows and sometimes these resto-mods can really make one stand out from the crowd

And later, after I stopped twitching and pissing myself from the shock to my system the gas prices were, I QUICKLY ducked into Home Depot for a couple of carbon monoxide detectors, and used the self-check-out to get out ASAP.

This reminds me of a great “Real Life Adventures” comic where the husband was getting a star on the Home Depot Walk of Fame for perfect attendance – never missing a weekend in 3 years! w00t.gif

I also have dish and really like it. They are a better value than directv – I recently switched.

I can tell you some pretty specific info since I just helped someone else get setup with them. To get a 4 room system, 1 HDTV with HDTV DVR, 1 regular tv with regular DVR, and 2 regular tvs with regular receivers, local channels, HD Channels, and the America’s Top 100 Plus package, it will be:

$45 for the first 6 months
    $65 after that

I have noticed the digital picture to be very good (better than cable since it is a digital signal at higher resolution) even though its not HD. Let me know if you have any other questions.

    A few good ones:

“You teach a child to read, and he or her will be able to pass a literacy test.”

“They want the federal government controlling Social Security like it’s some kind of federal program.”

“Rarely is the question asked: Is our children learning?”

“Neither in French nor in English nor in Mexican.”

“One word sums up probably the responsibility of any Governor, and that one word is ‘to be prepared’.”

“We have a firm commitment to NATO, we are a part of NATO. We have a firm commitment to Europe. We are a part of Europe.

“We’re going to have the best educated American people in the world.”

“You know, one of the hardest parts of my job is to connect Iraq to the war on terror.”

“Too many good docs are getting out of the business. Too many OB-GYNs aren’t able to practice their love with women all across this country.”

“I STAND BY ALL THE MISSTATEMENTS THAT I’VE MADE.”

I have had some business dealings with Blue Chip (for the QSL Cruise nights and other things) and also have found them to be very open and organized.

Agreed, this should be very interesting. I see they just put the sticker price out as $37,000. Marshall, are you still planning on getting one if your name gets called?
