If it was a 43. We could say it was fair… As long as they were consistant across the board in this class. I know one of the problems that arose was there was so many cars that some of the judges we asking for help in their class. You can’t have one person judge fifteen of the cars in a class, and then throw in new judge and expect him/her to do the last five.
I do know that a couple judges were asked to do this and they refused. What one judge scored across the board as 1’s the next may score as 3’s..
Maybe we can all learn from this, and offer to help Pardeeville to get this improved for next year. Instead of all of us whining about it, and making personal attacks.
Correct

Nothing against the Nelsons(i`ve met them and they are nice people) but if a show continues to have issues year after year and nothing changes then that show becomes a bad show.
circletrack, how would you feel if your car lost to a noticably less deserving car and it was so obvious that it was like a slap in the face? This is what some of us are trying to point out about this show. Nobody is complaining about not getting a trophy,we are complaining about fairness or should i say lack of and nothing being done to change it.You have a nice car but what would you do if your car only scored a 40? Would you just sit back and say oh well?Since my review seemed to start this, key me chime in. BBT, I agree with you that it is about fairness. But in defense of others, we have all had shows where we have felt that our cars/trucks were more deserving than another, it happens. Generally, we remember that show and simply decide against going again. In the case of Pardeeville, it is a really nice show. The setting is perfect and the turnout is nice. There is obviously an issue with judging of the newer vehicles. But, for me, I now know that. I will probably go to the show next year with that in mind. I will go unjudged, enjoy the show and spare myself the frustration.
Yes being given a low judging score is not right. It down right sucks to feel cheated. But there are bigger things to worry about.
jonmandudeParticipantOk, back on subject.
That judging sheet is a little disturbing. How does a 3-4 year old vehicle rate that low in any of those parts? Without a great deal of abuse there is no way your interior and trunk could be that bad. That is crazy.
jonmandudeParticipantThanks guys. That makes sense. I guess I didn’t think of any of that.
jonmandudeParticipantOk, let’s stop the beating this horse.
If we all sum up the opinions here, this was mostly a great show. The weather was perfect, the location was amazing and the cars were spectacular. The food service was not able to keep up with demand, and the judging was “questionable”. Does that cover it?
Obviously we all love the setting and the variety of cars. This show could very easily go non-judged and non-trophy. The judging and trophies did nothing to add to the show. Maybe have the judges go around and pick a top 3 or a best engine, best paint, and over-all best of show. But keep the show, eliminate the one thing that is hurting the show.
jonmandudeParticipantThanks Ryan.
jonmandudeParticipantI am very passionate about this subject. I have dealt with this discrimination when I built an import and I continue to see it with modern muscle. I get very irritated when I here “new cars should be allowed” or “there should be a 10 year cut-off” or “newer cars should be allowed but shouldn’t get trophies” like they aren’t worthy. What the heck makes you so special? Because your car is older? Get over yourself already. Try to be a little more open-minded.
Every week I have to field questions like “why is that allowed in here?” or comments like “too many new cars”. My response is that “it isn’t about the cars, it is about the people. The cars are just the common interest”. I don’t enjoy doing the Lube cruise night every week, I flipping love it. I love meeting the people every week and seeing what they bring in. I love the passion we all share. I don’t always find every car appealing, but I give them all proper respect. I have welcomed everything from concourse classics to exotics to extreme muscle to imports to bone stock “nothing special-see a million like it every day” cars. I have welcomed Donks and low-riders. I have been asked what the criteria is to be allowed in and I say “you have to be passionate about your car and respect that others are passionate about theirs”. THAT is how it should be.
I feel sorry for those that are so close-minded and want to keep this hobby exclusive, you are missing out on a lot of fabulous cars and a lot of great people.
jonmandudeParticipantIsn’t Parks Automotive having a show next weekend too?
jonmandudeParticipantDamn, I should have gone to this show. Thanks for posting pictures
jonmandudeParticipantPictures not as nice as Ryan’s but more shots

jonmandudeParticipantBody Shop Supply does that. They give you two choices. You can either get an aerosol spray can made up (usually around $25) or you can buy a kit that is like a small CO2 powered air gun and then get some paint.
If you are only doing one thing, my advice would be spray can. but if you will be doing multiple projects, the other
jonmandudeParticipantSaturday will be long enough for me.
More on subject….
Caravan to Pardeeville? Meeting point? Time?
