Mine went down, but then I don’t live in Dane county.
Maybe if Dane County and Madison hadn’t been so quick to re-new the contracts for the uniouns before Act 10 was enacted you wouldn’t have gotten burned so bad.

Yep, I went on Saturday to Edgerton. They had 250+ cars there; I thought it was a great show and run really well. They had a survey form in the goodie bag asking for feedback on what they can do better and where to improve the show. To encourage you to fill it out they gave you a another raffle ticket when you returned. I’ll post pics and review later today.

Well I was thinking of heading to the Edgerton show but after reading this I may pass on it. What about the Reedsburg show; how is that one for a car show?

Gee if I had know you could set up your spot the day before I might have given a thought to going to the show tomorrow; even with the predicted 90 deg and high humidity.

Looking at the sponsors for this show; can anyone tell me who or what “Checkered Flag” is?

This show is nothing but a rip off of Ken Kicks show Garage Kickers which has been running here in the Midwest for the last 3 years.

PLEASE don’t support the program, this is a classic example of the BIG GUNS stealing an idea started by the small guy trying to get a show going in some local markets.

Any idea on what the car count was for those years? I’m wondering that maybe not enough cars showed up and they shut it down for that reason.

I did some research on the events held in Wisconsin.

The first 3 shows, 15th, 16th, and 17th annuals were held in Waukesha, 2004 thru 2006.
The last 2 shows, the 18th and 19th were held in Madison; 2007 and 2008.
That is all I could find, does anyone know if there were any others here in WI before the 2004 show?
I’m also curious as to why they moved the venue into Madison.

Personally I would love to see theGood Guys “Great Lakes Nationals Car Show” return to Wisconsin; but I wouldn’t want to see it happen in Madison, this town is not car friendly.

Maybe up around Green Bay; I’m sure they have enough hotels to handle the influx of car people.

I’m not surprised. When I had my Harley I went to a number of State and National events and it wasn’t much different; seems like everyone has thier hand out for something.
One of the major reasons why I prefer going to local events for car shows.
The only “biggie” I’ll be going to will be the “Back to the 50’s” up in MN this year.
