I’d really like to feel sorry about that…yet I don’t.

I like the idea of a show starting around 10am and going until 3 or 4 in the afternoon. I, like Rachael, enjoy a morning cruise in the summer, but there are some of those who attend church and get to the festivities late. If a show was a little later in the morning, this would accomodate those who go (or should go) to church.

Big shows like Blanchardville never have the awards on time…and it makes for a really long day when its so damn hot out. I think last year I lost 10 lbs. just from sweating my a$$ off. I enjoy Blanchardville, and Frank S. does a really great job with the organization, but they do need to get a little better when it comes to getting the judging sheets counted and having the awards on time. On the other hand, the shows that expected a larger turnout and didn’t get the numbers they had hoped to gave awards away earlier and that was nice.

All this talk about shows is getting me excited for spring wave.gif

I don’t feel sorry for them one bit. There the same people who complain about what they have to pay when they buy things from others icon_vomit1.gif

I lucked out, sometimes working outside of town with no windbreaks is good. All of the snow had blown off our lot but it was icy. I called a customer of ours who salts for us and he’s on his way up here to dirty up our lot.

I think it’s about time to crack open that first christmas beer jumpy.gif

It’s just terrible outside. I’m getting ready to go to work (on a sunday night) and see if I can clean up any of the lot. Hopefully the wind has blown all the snow across the road into the field. As far as travel plans, I have to start my holidays in Madison tomorrow afternoon, then travel up to my aunt’s house in Rio and spend the night.

Guess I might have to limit my XMas toddies down to about a half dozen, though its’ harder to deal with family when your sober jumpy.gif

For fall color photos, there are many nice county/town roads in western Dane County (moparkid25 territory) near Mt. Horeb, Blue Mounds, etc. Here’s a few shots I took of my convertible in the Town of Vermont before the snow started flying…

Nice pic’s Al, what road were you on?

There’s a guy in my neighborhood that had some ice buildup on his roof… He climbed up there with a 50# bag of blue salt and decorated his roof with it…

It all ran down his roof and only melted the ice in one spot, which the water ran straight into the gutters. He’s got some pretty neat icicles hanging off the porch now… Drogar-Laugh(LBG).gif

Cool story Al, you met the country’s most popular lunch lady Drogar-Laugh(LBG).gif

I’ve met a few celebrities, but the coolest one was Jesse James Dupree (Hey, he’s a celebrity to me). Drank a PBR with him after a Jackyl concert in Evansville last year, nice guy thumbsup.gif

To be safe, if anyone is interested in that challenger I would look at the VIN to make sure. The only reason I’m speculating is that’s a ’70 grille, could’ve been changed, could not.

If anyone gets the VIN I would be more than happy to decode it for you.

I have to go to madison now that this last storm has blown through. I can only imagine what shape the roads are in now….I can’t get around real good lately, even with my sand and snow tires which rarely slow me down. I might have to break down and get back in a 4×4 if we keep getting 8-10″ a week dontknow.gif

Agreed. And I’m probably the biggest right-wing extremist on the forum jumpy.gif
