This is one thing I enjoy about not having perfect paint on my car, it can get wet and be washed. Yes, its a PITA to wash it, but that’s why I have a full wash bay at home.
However, this year I am going to try and get caught in less rain, or get my windshield resealed
moparkid25ParticipantRyan, this is a great website!!! Would you mind if I linked it on my business websites?
moparkid25ParticipantTypical Jefferson weekend…. Im glad I dont have the urge to tromp around in the cold and rain looking for junk parts anymore.
moparkid25ParticipantAmigo2k wrote:Only a 20% chance of rain for Friday and Saturday … I better find my rubber boots for Jefferson …And a stocking cap with your Carharrt coat. This is Wisconsin you know…

I hope they dont edit out all of the footage of people finding out they got screwed and paid too much due to one of Volo’s inflated in-house appraisals
Its a nice place to burn an afternoon looking at cars, but I wouldn’t buy anything from those guys, especially when I have proof they sell clones and claim them to be ‘the real deal.’
On the other hand, I love the antique lamp I bought there a few years ago.
moparkid25ParticipantI know the guy who owns that Charger, its a bitchin’ car
moparkid25ParticipantQuote:1. Find a new location and keep the same price for admission. I love the location but the 6 bucks to park in just not right (and $3.50 for a bottle of water? Come on …).One of the reasons I did not attend. The county charges for parking for every event, and the price of concessions is ridiculous. Sure, why not bring your own from home, just that much more junk to carry with you. Or park at Olin St and walk a mile to get there.
Quote:2. Vendors. Keep it automotive related. Folks selling beef jerky, plastic horses (but I do suppose a horse is a mode of transportation), yarn animals, and dollar store junk, do not belong at car shows.Agreed.
Quote:3. I would have 2 phases of car owners looking to bring a car to the show. For a certain period of time allow folks that are putting a car show on later that year to bring one car and a stand with a stack of their fliers. Then once that period is up then allow in others. This would then be a promotional event for upcoming car shows. This is also a good idea, it would help generate more foot traffic at other shows.
Quote:4. Move the date to 1 or 2 weeks before spring Jefferson (or even Automotion). This was a freak year with the weather we are having. Since most folks don’t have access to a trailer it may be hard to get cars to come in future years. Also it would allow for folks to park outside. Have an area where owners can pay 5 bucks to park and set up their cars (assuming it is nice out). Having more cars outside may draw more folks inside.Again, agreed.
25 cars really isn’t alot, but I guess if you figure in the race cars, boats, tractors, etc. it fills up the rest of the space.
moparkid25ParticipantThat’s pretty cool.
moparkid25ParticipantSo it’s $5 per person to enter the event, plus the $6 the county is going to soak people for parking, plus the overpriced concessions the county sells (which are not related to the event)?
Sounds like this one might get expensive.

Jesus, Mary, and Joseph…. :pinch:
moparkid25ParticipantAttend more shows that are to help a charity.
Attend shows I have never been to before, I did this a few times last year and I really enjoyed it – even if the show was a bust.
Enjoy my car more for what it does than how it looks, IE take some good cruises in it. Maybe an overnight stay somewhere.
moparkid25Participantintmdatr3 wrote:Really like that pistol grip shifter very nice look. This is the time of year we also do some updates on the Monte. This year we installed new headers ,replaced the plugs and wires, put in a MSD billet distributor and removed the cats. Also bought a set of brushed aluminum sheet metal for under the hood that I will install over the next couple weeks. Started the Monte up yesterday and broke the tv cable for the trans so this will have to fixed first before we can take a cruise.Every year do these little projects to keep my sanity while waiting for spring. Can’t wait for that first cruise have fun………I think I have an extra TV cable if you need one…. PM me if so.
moparkid25ParticipantDrove mine over to the neighbor’s house and back tonight.
moparkid25ParticipantI like the double standard. Rush is taking back what he said because he’s losing sponsors (shows its all about the $$$) and people are so offended. Yet, the same people who are offended said nothing when Bill Maher called Sarah Palin a c*nt….. Hypocrisy at its finest.
Free speech is just that. IMO, “slut” is a lot less offensive than using the ‘C’ word towards a woman. I’m all for birth control, have you seen the idiots who are reproducing these days?

Last year it was a great way to start the season. I remember this because I got one hell of a sunburn right off the bat  I’m supposed to go to Byron on the 12th, but I would also like to be here to support the cause again. Still haven’t been able to master being in two places at once….
