Hazel Green. Might be worth checking out next year in my quest for new shows.
moparkid25ParticipantSteve, were we at the same show?
moparkid25ParticipantI went to this show for the last time in ’09. Here is an excerpt of my RTS:
“
First, the classes listed on there flyer were not the classes they had at the show. They listed Trailered class, Survivors, and a few others. Instead those classes were integrated into the stock or modified classes with 19 year spans, WTF? I asked two guys wearing “event staff” t-shirts where there classes disappeared to, and they both passed the buck. Then, the judging was also a joke. One judge spent about 17.542768 seconds on DDHemi’s car, then the guy who judged my car just popped open the door without permission! Did the same to my girlfriends’ car, but when he got to my friends car that was next in line, the judge asked his wife if it was ok.
Then comes awards time. First, a POS 70 charger thats flat black wins an award over cars that are actually nice. This royally pissed me off, but not as bad as the 08 Challenger that won Best of Show Stock, along with a class award. Another show where cars win multiple awards and deserving vehicles get screwed. If knowledge serves me correctly, one vehicle got 3 awards – Best in Class, Best Mopar, and Best of Show Modified. It’s a damn nice car, but one car = one award. Then, they only gave two awards per class! The class I was in (since they lied about a survivor class) was stock 1970-89. There were over 15 cars in this class!!! I’m so flabbergasted I have a loss for words-how often does that happen?! Heres my list of all the cars that got screwed IMO:
Blue 70 Coronet R/T
Green 68 Hemi Charger
Green Nova (68?)
Black 79 Trans Am
Burgundy 76 Coupe DeVille (survivor)
Yellow late 30s/early 40s Ford Coupe
Black C3 Corvette
Black 67 Chevelle w/ flames
And there’s more, but these are the ones who stick out.Overall a waste of a day, I could’ve planted more wildflowers at home! Another show where they got judges that don’t know WTF they are doing, and vote for the local boys. More than one occasion the guy in charge knew the award winners. This show used to be a good show, I’m not really sure whats happening.
I won’t be back.”
This was also the show where the organizer got on here and tried flashing his badge around to be a keyboard cowboy with me.

It is getting to the point where a person can’t walk down the street without threat of confrontation from some loser.Agreed, that city is becoming a cesspool fast (not that it wasn’t a cesspool to begin with). With concealed carry being signed into law, the idiot criminals better think before they act.
moparkid25ParticipantI’d be more than happy to take this young man on a cruise.
moparkid25ParticipantI’ll probably go to Edgerton also, then to Monroe later that evening.
moparkid25Participantrustypup wrote:I used to go to this show every year. Then got tired of being treated like trash since I did not have a muscle car or hot rod. So I stopped goingReally? I’ve never seen anyone treated like crap and I’ve been going to this show since I was in high school – late 1990s. I’ve seen them get some help from some know-it-alls and local hillrods, but everyone in charge are some of the nicest people I’ve ever met.
moparkid25ParticipantYou gave Ms. Wisconsin my phone number, right? There was one girl at the Showdown who got extremely jealous while I was panting over the Dairy Queen
Weird.
moparkid25ParticipantBlanchardville for me on Sunday.
moparkid25ParticipantLuxuryliners wrote:Has anyone seen a flyer or have any information about this show. I’ve seen the press release with the times, location, and free registration but no contact information is listed. The Edgerton Chamber of Commerce didn’t know either and the only contact is for the horse tournament. I really just want to know if its a show and shine or if there are classes, awards, dash plaques and if there are any age restrictions on entrant vehicles (ex. 89 and older etc). Thanks in Advance.I was there last year, and it sucked. There were a handful of classes that were participant judged IIRC.
moparkid25ParticipantMonroe DQ cruise nights start this Saturday, and are every Saturday night in July.
5pm – ???

moparkid25ParticipantI’m going to Oregon. Why, you ask? One reason is because I consider ss396 a friend. Two, I didn’t see anyone associated with the Oregon car show act like an ass to the organizers of the Albany car show at the Dells – it was the opposite. The way those Albany hillrods act and run a car show is insane, they should have the nose pickers at the daycare center judge cars!!
