If you have blue collector plates, you can’t operate that vehicle on WI roads during the month of January.

My garage is set for heat, but I have yet to install the furnace out there. When the house was built, I ran the gas line from the basement to the garage. I don’t see a point in installing a heater until I finish insulating the walls and putting up drywall. The flip side to that is it will be heated with the propane that I use to heat the house, so the tank may need to be filled more over the winter depending on the use. Being the garage, I would only use the heat when working out there, and set the temp around 40 degrees, just enough to melt the slush off the truck overnight.

I have also researched the infrared electric heaters. They are supposed to be quite efficient but I don’t know anyone that uses one. The cost for one of these units is about the same as the heater my garage was originally designed for, and they cover up to 1000 square feet (my garage is 1100).

“The suspects are described as…” suprise, suprise. The welfare check’s must’ve been a little shy this week, so they needed to sell a stolen Ipad to pay for there weed and Colt .45

    [concealed carry rant on]
Now, had this happened to the love of my life, and the State that I graciously live in allowed me to possess a concealed-carry permit, I could’ve drawn on them and held them until the authorities showed up. But since the mentality of our government is “If we don’t allow law-abiding citizens to carry a concealed firearm, the criminals won’t do it either.”
    [rant off]

A thank you is in order to that off-duty police officer from Whitewater. GTO Man is right, Madison has become a pathetic, ‘no balls’ city.

I wish it would start to get warmer, but unfortunately we will have a couple more months of snow and cold :(

That’s ok, winter will give some more time to get “goodies” on the car ;)

For the folks that say “no” to the train, I would ask one question … have you ever taken a train in Europe or Japan?

The only other country I’ve visited is Canada. I’ve ridden AmTrak and the L-trains in Chicago… I know they aren’t much comparison. But when you look at the vast majority vote on the subject, the HSR was not wanted. Therefore, I see no reason to continue to push the subject.

IMO, Scott Walker made the right decision. Let’s fix the current infrastructure, create jobs, and get this state back in the black. I’m all for alternative energy, but we will always have a need for fossil fuels.

This was one local news topic that I didn’t give a rat sass what they did.

Would either one of you ride the HSR?

It’s not happening. I’m tired of Eco-Nazi Liberals crying about it… Because most of them wouldn’t ride it either. “Do as I say, not as I do” has been the motto for Progressive Democrats for quite some time.

As far as fuel costs go, I thought high gas prices were GWB’s fault? He’s been out of office for 2 years

Keep in mind this could be a media scare tactic.

This is also why the USA needs to drill there own oil. We have bent over for the Arab’s long enough.

What valid reason is there for it being so high this time of year?

Must be Obamas fault, the economy is to good now..so we have extra money to spend..

No no no, it’s GWB’s fault :woohoo:

Protesting is one thing. Vandalizing property is not protesting. Burning the flag and a draft card isn’t very patriotic either. During the vietnam conflict, Madison was a battleground for politics.

40 years later, it is the only city that “forgives” murderers, i.e. the Armstrong brothers. The protesters of the era are now professors at the UW and members of the city gov’t. However, given the progressive agenda of Queen Kathleen and Mayor Dave, even I welcome change, and if Soglin is the man to do it, so be it. Soglin has supporters on both sides of the fence, and had it in the past too. That’s what made him an effective Mayor.

Getting rid of Mayor Dave is not only a good thing for the city, but also for the county.

My dad tells stories of his days in college, and my favorite is the one of Soglin throwing bricks thru windows of buildings on Mifflin Street.

I’m glad I don’t live in that liberal cesspool called Madison, but if I did, and no other candidates struck my fancy, I would vote Soglin.

The squeaky wheel doesn’t always get the grease, sometimes it gets replaced.
