ZapperParticipant
Thanks for posting the pictures, what a great trip!
Did you happen to catch up with Laverne in Juneau?ZapperParticipantJust ordered mine this morning, looking forward to seeing it!
ZapperParticipantSorry… I cant find how to PM you on this new site. I am sure it is something easy to find, but I’ve been struggling with the new format.
Anyways….. here is his response (I asked if it was ok to send his info to you :))“As far as your 1978 Pinto wagon friend passing through Juneau…by all means pass on any of my information to him!!…I always enjoy entertaining or guiding folks from the “Old Country” that may pass through Juneau! That would be a hoot for me to connect up with your Pinto friend!
I’m assuming he is arriving and departing via ferry…Alaska Marine Highway…My boat is located in nearly downtown Juneau…that’s about 15 miles from the ferry terminal…
I’m not the best cell phone owner but if your Pinto friend would leave a message I will certainly get back to him…often email is the best for me…”
Thanks!

Zapp’s Rod ShopZapperParticipantIf you make it to Juneau Alaska, look up the name LaVerne Beier. He is originally from Tomah, WI, and now lives in Alaska.
He has a 1936 Dodge Humpback panel truck at my shop right now. He uses it when he comes back to WI to visit.
LaVerne is a Brown and Grizzly bear specialist. If you Google his name, one of the first articles starts out with
“Survived a helicopter crash and 4 bear attacks” He is a very interesting guy. Never actually met him, but we are in contact quite a bit.
Good luck on your journey!!Jeff Zapp
Zapp’s Rod ShopZapperParticipantI agree, very cool.

ZapperParticipantGot the wheels and tires on Bob and Sandy’s truck this morning.
Great stance and nice wheel and tire combo, Turned out very nice!
Bob and Sandy have lots of plans for this truck, this will be a great build for them!
BTW….. Bob was rattling off some of the old cars/trucks/vans he has had over the years, he quit counting at 100!

ZapperParticipantThis thing is crazy! This is Scott and his son Joe’s new Silverado Monster truck!
You may remember Scott’s Pewter daily driven 1999 Silverado we just did some upgrades on, and
Joe’s blue 1987 Square body Silverado that ran 44″ tires on. We’ll Scott and Joe sold Big Blue to buy Big Red!
This is running 46″ Goodyear Military tires. Inside is equally as nice, but I cant get it in for any pictures, need a ladder, LOL
We are just going to go through it and make sure everything works as it should, add a few accessories and fix up a
couple things that need attention.

ZapperParticipantRobert brought his 1994 Silverado over for a Bell Tech lowering kit. 3″ front and 4″ rear.
Now this truck sits right!
I’ll follow up with another picture after we get the new wheels and tires on it.Stock Height
