My sister bought one, got in a wreck, and then bought another one cuz she liked it so much.

The nice thing about them is that they are very straight forward to work on when need be. And they are increadibly reliable. Just as long as having a car doesnt interfere with her continuing her art and Anime art development thumbsup.gif

Anyways, I think I might hit up the Saukville show on sunday.

I dont remember what won best of show, but I know it wasnt a corvette. I will agree that the judging was a bit questionable in some of the classes (a lot of Pontiacs winning…at a Pontiac dealership). But that is to be expected at a dealership show…its inevitable.

Marshall, can you give me the details on your Mustang? I might have someone in mind that could be interested.

    Nick,

“Vote only in your class” means if you register your car in say class A. Then you will get a ballot to vote for 2 cars in class A only.

    -Terry

That is the email I got when I asked what they meant by voting in your class only. I can see this being a really really really bad way of doing ballotting. Perhaps I wont be going to this one, even though its only 20 min from home for me.

Yeah, lots of different food…and the actual park area is really nice.

It could be a phenominal show if the organization of it would be done right.

    Thanks Lordairguitar.

Yeah…the participant judging and organization is seriously flawed at this show, almost as flawed as the Heather’s Ripley Lake show, but the Audobon Days festival itself is what Im more interested in.

    Specific Ratings (A-F):
Arrival/Departure (easy to find, easy to leave?) – B….easy to get to, but signs always help.

Parking Location – A…Glad to have them parked by class…easier for judging.

Class Organization – B…stock classes were a bit broad.

Trophies & Prizes – A…huge best of tropheys, decent door prizes.

Food – C…VFW didnt organize that whole section very well at all.

Entertainment – B+…Good mix of old and classic rock.

Judging – B+…we had a knowledgable group judging…headed by Frank from the Blandchardville shows.

    Dash Plaque – C+…average.

Variety of Cars – A…a lot of good quality bikes and cars.

Bathrooms – B…portas, and VFW building.

    Weather – A…perfect

Trophy Presentation Timing – B-…4pm is awefully late in the day

Entry Fee – B…$10…average for this year

    Overall Rating: B+…

Attendance was down due to other shows in the area. It was still a good show, things went really smoothly even after having some minor hiccups. Next year’s should prove to be bigger and better.

VFW controlled the concessions…hopefully they plan that differently next time.

same here, I used to attend 2 shows each weekend, but this year its one per weekend, or one every other weekend. It really sucks because there are a lot of good shows going on.

Perhaps we are at a tipping point in American car culture…

As for July 26th…House of Horsepower Show!!! icon_headbang.gif

Im with Jon on this one. Sociology 101: any social event naturally forms cliques…its just natural. Some people can be dicks and ignore the organization members and such, but its a minority. Like with all things, you have to accept the good with the bad.

Everybody at a show is passionate about their cars, so naturally it can get to be a bit competitive.

Ive been showing for 5 years and when I first started, there was a lot of prejudice against tuner cars at shows, and I wasnt well recieved. But now 5 years later, my car is more accepted, Ive made a lot of friends who are hot rod enthusiasts, musclecar enthusiasts, etc. So if anything, I would say that the car culture in this area has been growing for the better.

I was preregistered for Edgerton, but Im no longer going after seeing the new format. There are plenty other shows to attend that day instead.
