Overall Rating:B+GaribaldiKeymasterQuote:There’s usually a fathers day Mopar show at Dodge Country in Appleton. Always the same day as the Ford show down the street at Stumpf Ford I think.Welcome to the forum! Are you going to Jefferson tomorrow? Nice Roadrunner, how long have you owned it? Thanks for the info on the show, do you know the date at all?
Thanks for all the info on the shows Circletrack! Was Belleville on the same day as Trecek last year? I think Trecek was Sat. and Belleville was Sun, I remember going to both of them icon_punk.gif
GaribaldiKeymasterSounds great! I can’t wait, the weather looks nice as well! sunny.gif
GaribaldiKeymasterI heard that they have some pretty nice prizes too, like a small block chevy engine
GaribaldiKeymasterQuote:No cruise tonight? Dang!

For the next few Thursday’s I’ll be tied up with my son’s soccer practice and may miss the cruise nights. But I’ll be there in spirit.Yes unfortunately the weather was not in our favor this week. That means next week we’ll have to make it twice as great!
Quote:Yep, it looks like tonight will be a bust for sure. Even though it isn’t currently raining, the roads are wet and damp and more rain is expected tonight (70% chance). It’s all just as well for me. I did not receive repair parts from Virginia Classic Mustang parts, and even if I had, I don’t know that there would be time to get the car buttoned-up and ready to roll again.
On a positive note, I was in the Milwaukee area yesterday and stopped in Concord on the way back to Madison and located the “Concord House” which is the site for the upcoming Boondocker’s Street Rod Club IceBreaker show. It is just a stone’s throw off of I-94 and easy to find.
How far is the Boondockers show from Madison?
GaribaldiKeymasterAnnouncement:
The April 26th, 2007 cruise night at Quaker Steak and Lube is cancelled due to rainy weather! crybaby2.gifGaribaldiKeymasterSounds like fun, I’ll plan on attending
GaribaldiKeymasterQuote:Well, that’s a good question. I called in an order to Virginia Classic Mustang yesterday, and I should have a supply of replacement clips by this weekend. I hope to take off a couple of pieces of stainless, replace some of the clips, and try and get the stainless back on before next weekend. Certainly, I hope to have the work done by the Boondockers show. Since I am having so much trouble with the windshield trim, I may wait on the rear window trim.Marshall
Marshall,
Hopefully it will come soon – there always seems to be a hitch though!
GaribaldiKeymasterI’ll be going to Spring Jefferson and the QSL Cruise Night.
I would also like to try out Gus’s Drive In sometime this year, I hear that its a lot of fun!
GaribaldiKeymasterQuote:I did ask about the “old school style” flame job on the black 1935 Ford Cabriolet that will unveiled at Automotion. Is that where they freehand paint all of it?
Quote:I got motivated to finish up a few “small projects” on the Mustang that I had been putting off. I ran into some problems with the polished stainless trim around the windshield. Essentially, I ended up stopping and I will need to order replacement clips in order to get the trim on right. My new philosophy seems to be – “When you’re not working on em, you need to be drivin em”. So, I took the car out and drove it for awhile. Will the new ones be in for Boondocks/Automotion, or are you going to just use the current ones for now?
GaribaldiKeymasterI’ve heard a lot of good things about Grayslake but unfortunately its around 2 hours from here so I don’t know if I’ll be attending. Also, someone just added the NSRA Safety Shakedown in Junction City, WI is that weekend. Its also about 120 miles from Madison.
GaribaldiKeymasterI went out there for lunch today and it was packed as well! Lots of cars and quite a few bikes too. There was a Galaxy 500 outside and a few other “new” classics, mustangs and corvettes. The Malibu is up on the lift now inside. I’m getting excited for this week!
GaribaldiKeymasterIt would be a good project, I bet someone in the Ford F-100s club would take it up
