Hopefully this downward spiral of job losses will turn around for the better when obama gets voted out on Tuesday.

Today, as unemployment rates rose, that idiot Biden was in Beloit bragging how the unemployment rate was down. One has to be as crazy as Charlie Sheen to really think four more years is a good idea. Rodney isn’t the answer, but he is the lesser of two evils and has a business background.

If there is a class for new cars, let them compete.

My opinion is that whoever bought that new car worked for it, just like the guy who restored a classic. Being the guy who has been accused of being a daddys boy and having “everything given to me” can empathize with those who are shunned for having a late model vehicle at a show. In the end hard work paid for it, no matter the make and model. If allowing a late model vehicle in a show peaks the interest of the next generation, bring it on.

I agree about 99%. Because of my choice in careers from time to time I have to be on the phone while driving. I am required to spend money and purchase and use a headset. The problem I notice more from my vantage point driving down the road is not so much the talking as the texting. Really both aren’t good but you can always pick out a texter. Like guns, when they’re outlawed only outlaws will have them.

Taking away the right to keep and bears arms is against the constitution. These laws should never be disputed, 236 years old or not.

An armed society that can defend themselves is a happy society.

I’ll be honest, between these ‘fees’ along with all the other hoops one has to jump thru to buy a home, I’m content with renting until the right deal comes along.

The biggest thing for me with any vehicle that is a turn off is if a previous owner has smoked inside the car. I do have an ionizer that eliminates the odors from a vehicle interior, but its just so nasty that I wouldn’t want to drive anything that was smoked in.

With that said, cleanliness is key in the presentation of a vehicle. Being one with extreme attention to detail, I give a very through inspection.

Next I look for originality, any accessories or modifications. Signs of body work, repair, etc.

It took me almost 6 months to find the right truck I wanted, and I’ve had it almost 5 years now. I’m thinking about upgrading to a 2013 F150, but to find what I want may be diffucult. And being payment free is kind of nice, too ;)

W.T.F? I hope the sale of the car includes a fur coat and a hat with a feather in the brim…

Depending on what the game schedules are for Sunday, and provided the weather doesn’t just totally suck, i may kill some bugs with my windshield and head to janesville.

The Dells for me was a bust. It was a plethora of headaches, and the final straw was my turbo going poop. The show keeps growing, but the traffic was such a pain in the ass this year. And the evening events aren’t as fun since johnny law cracked the whip. All in all its a hustle to get there, then i personally did not have a good time, even though my car ended up with an award out of all those cars.

The best thing i did was go to shows in Iowa. I had the best time at a show in dubuque this year, and i can’t wait to attend again next year! No offense to anyone, but i get tired of seeing the same cars at the same local shows. I think Blown69rs is on to something when it comes to traveling to a show, get out and see some different cars.

I prefer to attend the shows where it benefits a good cause. Its a good feeling when you help to help others. I would like to see more shows use the profits go to alzheimers research, muscular dystrophy, chrons disease, etc. There’s more to this world than winning a trophy, and some day it may be one of us needing help fighting a terrible disease.

Looking forward to 2013 (provided the mayan apocalypse isn’t real) I want to again attend shows I’ve never been to. There’s a few local shows that are a must attend event like verona, Oregon, and the Road Apples show. But Im ready to spread my wings.

yeah, know what ya mean…. I could stand to have another 10-15 degrees (at least)..
Hopkinton on Sunday has been waivering between 55-59 for a high, but sunny.. still damn chilly.

good luck in Oxford if ya go.

I could handle 55-59 degrees, as long as its not windy as hell. May be a bit of a chilly ride on the way down, those 160 degree t-stats don’t let you generate a lot of cabin heat either

I think I’m going to pass on Saturday, I just don’t feel like sitting out in 47 degree weather. If its nicer on Sunday, I may still make that trip to Hopkington, IA but I don’t know for sure yet.

I have a full selection of carpet dyes in almost every color if anyone ever needs to match something up. I’ve used the black on my own carpets and it has worked well. I agree you want to use a thin coat when doing this procedure.
