I’m starting to think you were exposed to too much agent orange…
You just need to let it go. Everyone on this board has gotten screwed at a car show and lost to a least deserving vehicle. happens a lot at participant judged shows.
moparkid25ParticipantBigbluetruck wrote:Oh, its ok for people to take cheap shots at me but when i shoot back you get your panties in a bunch. This is a public forum or as you say it`s the internet so i will say what ever is on my mind and if you or any one else does`nt like it well then that is to bad. Pardeeville is a bad show, always was and always will be, thats my opinion and i`m entitled to it just like every one else.who’s taking cheap shots at you?! pardeeville as a generality has its issues yet you’re trying to make it all about you. then, because this guy got a judging sheet you take a stab at Marshall like its personally his fault. the guy works as a volunteer judge yet admit there’s issues with the judging which passes him off, imo you can’t ask for a more stand up guy. if you two don’t get along, so be it, not everyone the world holds hands and sings anti-walker songs.
i actually appreciate the fact you state your opinion, instead of being a pussy and hiding your emotions. Opinions are like belly buttons, we all have one. But don’t get all up in marshalls grilled because he tried to help you, went to bat for you, attempted to persuade you come to pardeeville again even though you got a raw deal last year.
facts are facts dude.
moparkid25ParticipantYou can think Kathleen Falk, the skeletor look alike, for that.
moparkid25ParticipantBigbluetruck wrote:Pardeeville show sucks, in my opinion it is one of the worse shows i have ever attended and i`ve been to a lot of shows. In tbears case how does a car that normaly shows very well only score a 42 out of 100. MMRJR i hope your happy, a show you defend to the end and regard as one of the best shows around fell flat on it`s ass again. The only people who are happy with this show are those that were lucky enough to take home an award and if those that won at pardeeville would have not won they would be the first to bitch about how they got screwed over.Improve pretty are Marshall didn’t judge that car, and everybody knows you dislike pardeeville, but don’t use this guys thread to take a cheap shot at Marshall. Put on your big boy pants and get over it! Its well known pardeeville has judging issues the last couple years, and if they don’t do something about it there future attendance will decline.
moparkid25ParticipantI agree with plum crazy. I think some people get there judging sheet see what areas they need to improve on. yes, some get there sheets to see how they scored because they feel jipped out of an award.
I’ve asked for two judging sheets since I’ve been going to car shows. one of them was for a survivor car that was judged against restored cars. The other was judged this year, where my buck scored almost perfect. That told me right there the judge didn’t have a clue, especially when i got a 10 for my chrome… which i still haven’t find on my car! Yes, i was mad my car was over judged.
moparkid25ParticipantHere’s an idea for classes:
Ford (except Mustang) 1901-1950, 1951-1970, 1971-1990, 1991-present.
Mustang 1964-1970, 1971-1993 (the amount of mustang II’s I’m sure is minimum, and it keeps the foxbodies all together), 1994-present.
All makes/models 1900-1950, 1951-1960, 1961-1970, 1971-1990, 1991-present.
That splits the Fords from the other models, and eliminates the Mustangs from the other vehicles. This goes from 19 classes to 12. From there if you want to divide stock/modified cars, that would give you 24 classes.
Just an idea
moparkid25ParticipantSounds like a good time, and a nice area up there. I used to date a [strike]whore[/strike] girl from Wilton….
moparkid25ParticipantMMRJR wrote:who paints cars, as a sideline?I am asking for a friend who has a vehicle for sale that needs paint, but can’t spend big dollars getting it painted. The budget is around $3K to $4K. My friend is looking for more than a “tape and spray” job. Ideally, the chrome needs to come off, existing paint taken down to bare metal, then primed, painted, cleared and polished.
I recall a couple forum members have used a local MAACO franchise with good results. Any other possibilites out there that are worth considering?
Thanks
Talk to Rachel, I know last year Stark’s had a special where they were painting collector cars for $2000 or something baseline, with trim R&R and such ala carte. That’s an exterior only, of course.
If they still have that going on, that would be the place to have it done. Both painters there do excellent work!!
moparkid25ParticipantLuxuryliners wrote:Thanks for the info…not sure about Sunday with Platteville being relatively close but looking at checking out Waterloo on Saturday heard there is an old carousel to check out somewhere around there.
Better check your work schedule before you make any plansmoparkid25ParticipantOdd… I’ve had custom color specialists do a lot of on site work for me over the years and never had an issue.
There is usually two sides to a story.
moparkid25Participantjlgray wrote:great pics, how cann i contact the show organizers to get a copy of the judging sheets, i can’t seem to find an email address?http://www.pardeevillecarshow.com, there should be a link with contact info somewhere.
moparkid25ParticipantI have a cousin who lives in Beloit and has been in the area his whole life. I’ll send him a note and see if he can come up with someone who used to be an employee at these places way back when.
moparkid25ParticipantPlatteville also has there 37th annual show on Sunday too.
moparkid25ParticipantI can vouch for Mr. skeets on this. I wasn’t all that impressed with this show the first 2. years i attended it, but it has gotten better by adding more classes. The selection of cars on display is also good too.
Sorry I won’t make it this year, today we’re traveling home as vacation is coming to an end.
moparkid25ParticipantWell put Jon. I think the late model cars have there place at a show, everything just needs to be classed accordingly. Some shows do have a year cutoff, and rules are rules.
