These hillrods claim to be cowboys, but in reality they’re all hat and no horse…..
Enjoy the video.http://speedsociety.com/typical-things-muscle-car-guys-say/?farm
This is another viral idiot, he’s not even funny. He also has a video making fun of diesel trucks. I can make better fun of camo cowboys and their diesel trucks in my sleep than this guy.
moparkid25ParticipantGunner wrote:Did anyone else, besides me, question the “long distance award” or “who drove the greatest distance to get to this show” award. Did I hear correctly that it went to someone who claimed to have driven from Colorado? I don’t know how they did it, but they must of been hauling a** to get from Colorado to Pardeeville in a reasonable amount of time.Come on here, let’s get real. Nobody wakes up at dark thirty and drives from Colorado to Pardeeville to attend the car show.
If this is a Pardeeville award, maybe that one needs to be reworked because I know we had cars and trucks from Iowa and Illinois and Michigan and Minnesota that actually got up at dark thirty and drove to the Pardeeville Car Show. In all fairness, this could have been a “Wisconsin Hot Rod Radio” award and the winner picked by the DJ’s.
Long distance awards are a joke from the get-go. Someone will always find a way to lie about the distance it takes them to get from A to B. I was at a show a few years ago where a guy from Monticello, WI said he was from Monticello, IA just to win a long distance award with his Corvette. Did the judges and show staff not see Wisco license plates on his car?? I was slightly vocal about that one
moparkid25ParticipantGunner wrote:Not to hijack this thread, but what about the rule of “dogs not allowed” at this event or “dogs not allowed” at this car show. Have you even gone to any car show and not seen dogs during the show? Usually, they are brought in by spectators, but has this rule ever been enforced, anywhere? As a dog lover, my opinion on this is that the pet must be leashed and obey its owner.
At that Stoughton show a few weeks back, some guy who had a car there had his young Doberman running around him off the leash. Doberman’s are great dogs, but are also very hyper. Granted, I only saw this dog hyper with its owner, but my concern was if it were to see something of interest and jump on or in someone else’s vehicle. Small dogs I’m ok with, because they are usually well behaved and leashed. As always, if you bring your pet, clean up after it.
Not to hijack the hijack, but I love Dobermans. However, my homeowners insurance states I cannot have a dog that is a Doberman, Rottweiler, or Pitbull.
moparkid25ParticipantEvery show I’ve been to that stated “no carry ins” never seemed to phase some people, they have their own coolers stocked with beer, soda, or whatever. I’m guilty of taking my own cooler at times, but as much as I like a good adult beverage my feeling is they no place with horsepower.

That name has been part of the Madison business landscape since 1956.The Octopus car wash on University Ave is where my Grandpa always took his cars to be washed. I ran my old truck through there a couple times, always did a good job, and if you or they weren’t happy with it, they ran it through again at no charge.

moparkid25ParticipantThe only bad thing about the Pardeeville show, is it means summer is coming to an end
moparkid25ParticipantThe Nissan juke is the ugliest car on the road these days, with the FJ cruiser a close second.
moparkid25Participantjonmandude wrote:I am becoming increasingly irritated by this subject as of late.Today at Mopars on the Mississippi I was in the “Modified LX” class. Correct class for me. I did not place. The cars that won…..
3rd – a 2015 with lowering springs, rims and aftermarket brake rotors. Everything else is bone stock. Everything. Even the guy parking us asked “why is that car in this class?” And shook his head. But by the “3 mods” rule….
2nd place – a filthy, and I mean probably never cleaned under the hood filthy, 2010 with cheap ABS rear window louvers and a shaker hood and hood pins. Nothing else. Driveline, bone stock. Paint, bone stock. Suspension, bone stock.
1st place – a V6 Charger with every stick-on piece of cheap fake chrome that JC Whitney sells, some AutoZone cheap LED light strips, some vinyl stripes, some stick-on woodgrain dash trim, and LED headlight ‘halos’. Engine- bone stock. Paint – bone stock. Driveline – bone stock. It looked really good but come on.There was a time when if it came from JC Whitney or from “that aisle” at AutoZone we laughed at it.
We need to start having standards. I am all for letting everyone in on the hobby. I have been a vocal person on that. But we really need to start encouraging people to do stuff well. This becoming too much of a “here’s your trophy for participation”
After our online conversation last night, I’ve been thinking this morning that the Hellcat’s should have their own class. Let the owners have to be judged on cleanliness (I.E. which dealership did the best new car prep). And speaking of judged… If this show was not participant judged, the awards outcome for your class would’ve been quite different. Participant judging is based on what the majority liked best. Or who had the most friends at the same show. Case in point – I voted for you, and you voted for me However, we both looked at each other’s classes and I knew that your car was truly modified as I’ve followed all of the progress you have made. In my case, I took a daily-driven vehicle and competed against urban hillbillies with their “show trucks,” and still got an award. Buddy system voting is comparable to Donald Trump proving he could buy favors when he stated at the debate that he donated to Hillary on the grounds she attend his wedding. And she did! It’s a one-for-one trade off, unless you don’t know anyone at the show.
In the case of this show, I still feel it should be a judged show. A lot of nice cars didn’t get the recognition they deserve.
moparkid25ParticipantIt’s one thing if you want to lean on your own car, but leaning on someone else’s car is completely UNACCEPTABLE
moparkid25ParticipantThe Classy Chassis car show in Lancaster is also Saturday Aug 22.
moparkid25ParticipantI wasn’t there, but I heard a few different stories of how some things took place which echo the comments of the X-Man.
moparkid25ParticipantI’ll be skipping the Springdale Lutheran Church show in Mt Horeb Saturday to attend New Glarus with a bunch of other turbo Buicks.
Sunday I’ll be headed to the Mopar show in dubuque with a secret weapon making its show Debut.

And he may not be owned by any special interest groups. The other candidates, republican and democrat are as interesting as watching milk curdle. I liked his question today while he was in Michigan, why is Ford building a 2.5 billion dollar plant in Mexico?Trump is arrogant, stubborn, and their is no filter from his brain to his mouth. I like it.
He’s funding himself, so he’s also not a special interest puppet like Scott Walker.
This country needs a guy like Trump in charge.
moparkid25ParticipantIf anyone read my report from the Cobb car show, they know how I handled my last experience.
If I see a young child touch my car, I will ask them to please not touch my vehicle and explain why. Kids are young, intuitive, and learning. Generally if you explain why you don’t touch cars at a car show, they will understand.
If you are an adult, you should first know better. Second, if you have to be scolded, I will not be polite about it. Sometimes I like to have fun with people who are leaning on my car. Long ago when I had my ’68 Charger, I came back to sit down and found some jackass resting his arm on my hood while it was up. I grabbed my bottle of Wizards and said, “excuse me” so he would move. Then I began to clean the area where his hand was to make my point. He says something about how I probably didn’t want him touching my vehicle, and I told him he was probably right.
Another scenario that took place a few years was in Muscoda. I found some old fart leaning on my quarter panel talking to another old fart. I walked up, started looking at my car, then asked the guy leaning on it if it was his. When he said no, I said that’s right, its mine, so quit touching it. Then the guy had the balls to tell me I have an attitude problem. Duh!!!
The paint on my Buick isn’t great, but I’ve done a lot of work to keep it looking driver quality. And as a detailer, I respect all finishes. There is nothing more that pisses me off at a car show more than someone touching a car. Those who are proud of their accomplishments will quit showing off there rides when they are consistently having to worry about vandalism. Then car shows go away.
