On September 3, the 2005 Pardeeville Community Car and Truck Show was kicked off with a beautiful day in Chandler Park. The wonderful 85 degree temperatures where nearly perfect for a Car Show.194 cars showed
Cars started to come into the park at 7:00 a.m. and our all volunteer staff were ready to serve our visitors / friends.
Our concessions food stand had coffee, donates and much more food ready for the day.
By 9:15 in the morning we had registered 105 beautiful show cars and many more were in line to come in to the park to be part of our 2nd Annual Pardeeville Community Car and Truck Show.
It surely was good to see our new friends who would be part of our 2nd Annual Car and Truck Show, not to say how warm felt we were to see our friends who were with us again from our 1nd Annual Car and Truck Show.
Amigo2kModeratorPardeeville for me.
Amigo2kModeratorI have a co-worker whose car got nailed last night. Busted the windshield, and the car looks like a golf ball now. She said it was 3″ in diameter in Cottage Grove.
Amigo2kModeratori would love to go to this but I would need to leave at 4 from the westside to make it to SP by 5:30 due to rush hour.
Amigo2kModeratorI went for about 3 hours. About 40 cars showed up. The unfortunate thing is that the roads infront of Zimbrick are closed and under construction, so the people stopping by was really cut down from last year.
They had the normal free brats and hot dogs and soads.
Couple of nice old bugs were there a 1952 and a 1955.
I had a great time talking with vw fans and as long as I’m available I’ll be there next year.
My only suggestion is they advertise better to get a few cars to come.
Amigo2kModeratorI stopped by and checked it out. Lots of cars, and did they pack them into the park! Yikes! A lot of them were parked in.
Great setting.
Amigo2kModeratorI drove up to check it out and all I can say is wow! A bunch of excellant super clean cars. Lots of MG’s, Jag, a real Shelby, 2 brand new Ford GT 500 and even an old school orginal Ford GT.
I got there at about 1, and while I was walking in about 40 Corvettes were pulling in. It was fun to see all the cars pulling up to park to check out the cars.
I would recommend they have a second lot for folks not in the show to park their cars (kinda like art fair off the square), this would allow them to walk around for a while and then hop in their and take off (maybe charge a buck to allow folks to park their rides in the lot). This will allow the look and feel of a larger show.
I can’t say I would show my car at this show due to the high number of very clean cars, but I would still like to walk around to check out the cars!

is it going to rain?
Amigo2kModeratorIt was neat, but the cars were parked on the same street that the Parade was on. So if you didn’t get there like an hour before the parade, you couldn’t park your car.
Amigo2kModeratorWhat are the details on the belleville show?

They have a huge classified section.
Here is a photo of a 74 Rabbit a buddy of mine owned when we were in high School:
Amigo2kModeratorDid camero’s ever come with LT1’s?
If it did, it is typically cheaper to sell your currenty ride and buy one with one already in it.
Amigo2kModerator-A. I think they could of read off more of the door prizes throughout the show.
The temp wasn’t that bad.
Plenty of staff to show you where to park.
