Automotion was a BLAST!!! Had a great weekend! Next year we’ll be heading out earlier though to catch some of the “action” although I’m sure the Dells Police Department won’t be far behind… I have my hotel reservations already made!
Pardeeville put on a great show this year also. I won a trophy there and it’s really, really nice. Coming around and thanking the participants, asking for suggestions and overall just being happy to see so many cars in one place really makes a difference.
circletrackParticipantcircletrackParticipantWe won’t attend the Deerfield show again… Went for the first couple years and found it be run by a group that cared about drinking more than cars… I’m NOT against drinking and having a good time, but there’s a fine line that eventually gets crossed and they crossed it more than once. Some of the shows had weather issues, either it was too hot, cold or cloudy. The Klassic Kruisers run the Klassarama show and the average age in that group is 65+ with varying health issues. If they don’t get some young blood into that club I don’t see a future in that show. This was the first year they didn’t give out trophies, I think that *might* have kept some away also?! I know the Road Apples won quite a few awards last year and people complained…
I highly recommend the Watertown show, it’s a beautiful park with events for the entire family! The Fox Lake show was held in a nice park too, unfortunately Mother Nature had to interfere with that one. Having a tornado touch down so close is pretty scary!
I’ll put my thinking cap on, I’m not ready to let go of summer just yet! crybaby2.gif
circletrackParticipantI’m here, just really busy. I think some went to New Glarus but I haven’t heard any reports. The club has been busy wrapping up end of the summer stuff!
My Mustang is a coupe, and I haven’t really had a chance to drive it. We’re working on financing and all that fun stuff ~ NOT!
Any shows this weekend? The weather report isn’t looking too bad. I’m loving these cool days, we had some shows this summer that were downright unbearable, but we went!
circletrackParticipantMarshall ~ I know exactly the dealership you’re talking about, it’s called Country Classic Cars. We’ve driven by also and even stopped once but they weren’t open and the place was under tight security, including dogs. Their website is http://www.countryclassiccars.com. They have quite the selection!
I think we’ll enjoy the Mustang, the salesperson told us Mustangs are one of the few cars that hold their value very well. We can drive this car for a few years and still get good money out of it. My friends are going to give me CRAP for buying a Ford, but I looked high and low for a GM product and nothing stood out like this Mustang…. Winter driving won’t be fun, but we have other cars that will serve that purpose. Anyone heard how the winter is supposed to be? What does the Farmers Almanac say?
circletrackParticipantNope, went to Illinois and came home with a 2003 Mustang GT!
Never owned a Ford before and never thought I would, but I was looking for a new car and decided this would fit the bill. I now understand why insurance is a bit steep and the tickets can be plenty! blob8.gif
Kinda cruddy day for a show?!
circletrackParticipantAwesome! Thanks!
Any red flags go up for you? I’m a bit concerned it’s had 3 owners in 2 years…
circletrackParticipantHuh? That’s where I thought I put it to start with?! My mistake… dontknow.gif
circletrackParticipantLet’s just say, I’ve been with my husband for 20+ years now and we used to practically “live” on East Wash when we first started dating and married. I remember the great times we had up there and how upset everyone was when they closed it down. We’ve cruised the boulevard a few times in recent years, but it’s NOTHING like it was years ago. I actually think it can be a bit intimidating to be there with all the kids in their “tuner” cars and never knowing what’s around the corner…. I guess it all boils down to I’m a bit older and wiser and when my heart and wallet sits in the garage shining back at me, I really want it to stay that way. Make any sense? icon_cheesygrin.gif
circletrackParticipantBeen working overtime this week and can’t access the Internet at work, let alone have surfing time. Beautiful weekend we have, what a difference a week makes!
We’re headed over the border in the morning to join the Flatlanders at a car show at the Lensing Historical Auto Museum. Hope it’s a good day, not many weekends like this left! crybaby2.gif
circletrackParticipantPrices seem a bit high?! dontknow.gif
circletrackParticipantGot up this morning early thinking it would be a great day to get out to Jefferson, but the rain had other plans. Granted, we do need the rain but what’s wrong with Monday? I imagine Madison Classics took a huge hit today and that fairgrounds looks like one big mud pit! :yikes:
circletrackParticipantI had one made in June by Signs by Tomorrow in Madison near East Towne Mall. It’s nothing fancy, and cost around $100. I’ve received many compliments on it. I’d think you could contact any of the businesses that make signs, they should be able to do it. I’ve been told Sign 1-1 in Sun Prairie/Madison also makes them.
circletrackParticipantExcellent show! I’ve watched it from the beginning, huge hit for CBS!
Can’t wait for CSI to start, love that show too! icon_cheers.gif
circletrackParticipantDon’t like it at all, I thought something was wrong with the website.
