jonmandudeParticipant
My day will have to be short as I have to work at noon
jonmandudeParticipantThank you Andrew.
Anyone want to meet up at the McDonalds by DMV or breakfast around 7:00?
jonmandudeParticipantI am confused. I hit the “register” link and got nothing but a blank page. I then hit the “submit an event” link and it didn’t seem right. I thought I was already listed as an attendee from an earlier thread?
jonmandudeParticipantThat Nash is the nicest car I have seen on here
jonmandudeParticipantPlease excuse me if this post offends anyone. I am wondering, was QSL that much of a good time that no matter who they screw over, you will all still attend? Honestly, if any of you were done wrong in a way that made you have to sell your car, I would not patronize that business. If any of you put the amount of effort that I put in (to the Lube cruise night) and were treated how I was, I would not attend that event. I would be part of a group to stand up for what is right. Am I the only one that feels this way? I would rather not attend to be right, than let it slide like it was no big deal. “Treat people like shit, don’t appreciate the effort. It’s OK we will come no matter what.”
jonmandudeParticipantThat is kinda cool
jonmandudeParticipantThis is how it seems to be every spring. People think that selling a car in the fall will bring lower money because they feel no one will buy a car only to store it until the next spring, and then come spring time they feel buyers are looking for a cruiser for the summer….and they always feel that the car they have is the same as a similar car they saw on Barrett-Jackson. They never face the reality that all of the cars on BJ have a history and uniqueness that brings that money.
jonmandudeParticipantI know that yellow Camaro. It is everything he says and more. It is a true beast that can melt the tires on command.

jonmandudeParticipantHey moparkid25, where are you and ddhemi staying in Rochester? And when are you going down to Ames?
jonmandudeParticipantI have started seeing more collector cars out. Yesterday I spotted a 440 ‘Cuda, an AMX, and a T-bucket.
jonmandudeParticipantThanks Moparkid but honestly I don’t have it in me right now. I put so much of myself into QSL over three years only to have what happened happen. I have been getting the same thing from some of the bikers to start my own bike night. Right now I feel like just relaxing and maybe only going to a couple of shows (Hot Rod Power Tour, Road Apples’ Tuesdays, WSC’s Wednesdays).
That is strange to hear that Blue Chip will be there, as I got my information straight from Dave and Pete on Tuesday. But it is also nice to hear that they will be included. As I said before Blue Chip was the largest draw last year and it would be foolish to not include them again.
My earlier post was information that I thought many would like to know about. I am glad that it was able to be resolved to include Blue Chip into QSL’s cruise in nights
So Andrew, are you now going to be the main force behind the Thursday nights? You seem to be putting a lot of effort into it. If so I wish you luck.
jonmandudeParticipantI stopped by and spoke with the guys at Blue Chip this week. They say that they will not be doing Quaker Steak and Lube this season. It seems that they were bounced in favor of the new guys, Benchmark Classics.
First, I want to say thank you to the Blue Chip guys for helping to make last year a huge success. The best nights last year were the nights that Blue Chip was there, as well as many of you. I don’t agree with the idea of pushing them out for somebody new, when they did so much to help it grow (but then what do I agree with there?). There was always room enough for everybody when I ran the cruise in.
Also I would like to wish Benchmark the best of luck with their nights at QSL, sincerely.
Blue Chip said that they will be helping out with the Hot Rod Power Tour registration. I am so looking forward to that week. Who all wants to meet up in Iowa?
jonmandudeParticipantQuote:Did anyone see the P51 edition Mustang from Jack Rousch on Barrett Jackson over the weekend. It was very well done and had quite an engine in it. I think that one was worth doing. I think they made 150 of them. The new ROUSCH P-51A engine has a preliminary rating of at least 510 horsepower and 510 lb.-ft. torque.151 one of them. The one at Barrett-Jackson was number 151. I liked this car a lot. I am not a fan of the “Spitfire Green” but the whole car worked by carrying the theme thru-out
jonmandudeParticipantQuote:Yes, I too am jonzen’ to get my new toy out and enjoy it thumbsup.gifNew toy? Do tell.
