I worked a 12 on Wednesday to get Saturday off so I’m driving to Oxford or somewhere even if it’s snowing, probably little difference in temperature down in Milton but it is technically closer to the equator lol

Wouldn’t want you to drive all the way out there and find out there is no show…I did that once, drove out thankfully only to Madison for a show that was apparently cancelled despite sending me a flier earlier in the year, only to find an empty parking lot. Lucked out and found a show in Edgerton that same day and saw some neat cars after all…pending the all mighty work schedule :silly: i really would like to check that show out(hopkington) but i’m having enough trouble trying to get the Oxford show off the day before.

I thought that Hopkington show was the next weekend October 7th, or do they have 2 shows? Might check that one out as well if I get a chance.

Yeah it doesn’t really say or have to many photos, just a similar car…the Mark III sold in a few hours but now I’m looking at an 82 Mark VI for 1400 in Iowa, black supposed to be in good condition…the 86 just needs a new hose, first chance to look at it today should be cheap to fix.

The thing about buying a car is that with Craigslist, Ebay, Autotrader etc you can find so many and it’s hard to settle on the perfect one. http://madison.craigslist.org/cto/3275280732.html check it out they want $900 for it 1983 Lebaron Convertible. My 86 Town Car has broken down once again and I’m currently struggling with whether to sell it cheap and fast and be done with that particular money pit in favor of a 1970 Lincoln Mark III in Madison or wait it out until I have more money and can find a Black Mark V with a functioning sunroof, or just continue fixing the 86; paint it and hope to complete a restoration some day…happy hunting!

I know right, a little bit overwhelmed with the whole weekend off and so many choices this weekend…haven’t had to make any decisions past “this ones closest so I can make it back to work fastest” all year, I might just drive half way across the state to a small show just because I can!

Thanks for the info…not sure about Sunday with Platteville being relatively close but looking at checking out Waterloo on Saturday heard there is an old carousel to check out somewhere around there.

Not the worst idea but there were a lot of Mustangs at the show and it might hurt that attendance if you went to top 50 (or you might get 50 winning mustangs lol) If you do decide to change it you might want to leave at least one award acknowledging the large participation of those cars…the most I’ve seen in one place all year and that includes shows at Ford dealerships! (not suggesting good or bad just saying)

I thought Belleville was a decent show in a neat location, a little light on awards definitely but not bad…I reviewed it last year if anyone’s interested. Naturally this year with Botham’s featured marque being Cadillac and living a whole 12 minutes from the vineyard, my decision was pretty much made for me though.
