Its every tempting with the warm temps, but I’m going to wait for some more rain to wash the roads. Dane County didn’t want to lose there salt budget, so they laid it on pretty thick out my way. If we get some rains this week like we had the other night, then I wouldn’t be opposed to taking it for a spin.
Of course, I’ve got a gravel driveway thats a little soft this time of year too. Plus, this time of year we could still get dumped with snow (though I hope we’re making the transisiton by now).
moparkid25ParticipantI’d recommend everyone attend this show if you can and help this kid out. Its not too far of a drive, and not only is he an advocate for helping those who have the disease – he suffers from it himself.

The Road Apples show went smooth as pie, and has been relatively smooth since. Of course, its ran by people who understand how a car show should work, too.
moparkid25ParticipantSounds like its 3 weeks away and its still one big clusterf$%&.
moparkid25ParticipantI’m going to try and squeeze one in before the Dells, but we’ll see.

Not to mention I had two blow outs last year, wrecked my original spare tire, Outran a possible tornado by elroy, I heard storm warning’s on the radio, The trees started to swirl, which most likely were updraft winds from a near by funnel, I sure made use of the 84 horses my 2.2 provides.. Lesson learned, severe storms, car stays home…The judging is a joke, but you can’t expect to go to a show with 1000+ cars and expect to compete – no matter how nice one’s car is. And they don’t just look at the restored stuff, I won an award with my all original 442 in 2009, the only one I’ve ever gotten in the Dells. With that said, the award sticker appeared on my car on Sunday and may have been due to a low 2nd day turnout. The blacktop is hot, and since you can’t have an EZup we bought those chairs with a canopy on them to shade us.

The only difference between that car and the Grand Am is the style of the header panel. They were also prone to rust out in seconds flat. You don’t see a lot of these cars around at shows, either
This one looks like it would be a pretty sweet car to get your hands on.

moparkid25ParticipantHave your original one rebuilt with quartz. There are a lot of different places out there that can rebuild that for you.
moparkid25Participant’74 Cuda, 360 4sp…… I might have to make a call

moparkid25ParticipantMy dad did two tours in Vietnam on a Dustoff Batallion. Veterans are the real hero’s.
moparkid25ParticipantI’m kinda looking forward to this. It will be interesting to see who has there cars on display
moparkid25ParticipantEven though you talk shit about me behind my back, I still support this cause and contacted the elected officals.
moparkid25ParticipantWe need to drill our own oil and make the market more competitive. Then the price of oil will drop.
On a side note, the Mobil station in Mt. Horeb has closed. It was the only local place to get 93 w/o ethanol in my area, now I have to drive to Verona to get it. I hope someone comes in and re-opens, but I’m afraid that won’t happen without having new tanks put in the ground and updating the building. Its been my primary fillin’ station since I got a drivers license.
I filled up my truck last night (almost) at Kwik Trip. I feel dirty about it… Then when you pay with a debit card it only allows you to buy $60 worth of fuel, which doesn’t fill me up. On top of that, I was fueling with my truck running, which all the naysayers get scared about. Some old fart had the cajones to say something to the effect of “Can’t you read the signs? It says to turn off your engine.” I politely explained to him that he should be more concerned with the lady on the opposite end smoking while she’s getting gas, that I can read, that airplanes fuel in mid-air and don’t turn there engines off, and that my momma taught me to mind my own business before my nose ended up out of joint
