its a classic example of “robbing peter to pay paul” and the scary thing is that the reimburrsement is not guranteed either…so the state could spend and spend and spend, and then end up with a big bill.
the other thing that pisses me off about it is that the hospitals will then have to increase their rates to cover the rise. so in other words, we end up paying for the state’s revenue problem.
Eclipse_TunerParticipantFor me, #1 pick would be a new Nissan GT-R in Competition Silver. For a 80k Nissan to shut down 200k Porsches, that GT-R is pretty special. Plus I’ve always been a fan of the GT-R bloodline.
#2 would be a 1971 Dodge Challenger RT Hurst package in Plum Crazy Purple. My dad used to have one, and it is still one of the hottest muscle cars ever…the lines and proportions are perfect, and had balls to back it up.
#3 I cant resist, a McLaren F1-GTR Longbody LM Edition in Sunset Orange. Fantastic lines and style, insane performance, and still engineered better than a Veyron. Not to mention arrowhead seating just rocks.
#4 Would have to be a car/project that Im in the design stages of. Its a hotrod with a modern twist (think Foose concept). Traditional open wheel style with subtle swooping rear fenders that have Toyota Solaris tailights graffted into them, and a curvy canopy, perhaps off of a 3rd gen. Eclipse. Pointed snout with hidden headlights. Entirely skinned in silver carbon (texalium).
Eclipse_TunerParticipantmine would have to be recieving the “best interior” award at the HOH show. To say I was surprised would be an understatement.
Eclipse_TunerParticipantManitowoc is a cool show to attend…its a good mix of all car types….unfortunatly I didnt get to go in 2007 (blew the coolant lines off of my plenum on the drive up).
Eclipse_TunerParticipanti broke a swaybar endlink yesterday on fair-oaks ave.
Eclipse_TunerParticipantTo be honest, I was not at all happy about the Gordie show….mainly because of the treatment we recieved from the some of the attendies, as well as the show personnel. The impression we got was that the import/tuner scene was not wanted nor appreciated there.
Not to mention hearing my wife be called a “hoochie model” by one of the dealership employees (jokingly or not) was enough to completely turn us off of that show.Eclipse_TunerParticipantI am soooo bummed. I have to travel to Atlanta for work that week, so unfortunatly I wont be able to go
sorry guys
Eclipse_TunerParticipantQuote:have an in-tank Walbro 255lph sitting in my garage. I think it has about 300 miles on it. I bought a new one when I was problem solving a fuel problem last summer. I am not sure what the difference is between an Eclipse pump and a Maxima, but you are welcome to it.If you have a part # for it, I can look it up (the pumps were the same, but the pick-up fittings can be different from part # to part #).
Eclipse_TunerParticipanthas anyone seen any info for the Sun Prairie “Holiday in the park” show?
Eclipse_TunerParticipantthere are a few larger shows that have become tradition for me to attend, like Beaver Dam, Manitowoc. But I do like smaller shows, so Ill be looking for more of those this year, as long as they have a class for me to enter in, Im game.
