GaribaldiKeymasterQuote:No problem. I’ll keep adding as I find more. The bar over top is my desktop toolbar. If you right click on the lower toolbar, you will come across a item called toolbar. This will enable you to position the bar on the top, bottom or sides. Form there I move the icons on my desktop to the toolbar through drag. I like to keep a clean desktop.Ok I see what you’re saying, I’ve got mine like that too. That way I can just hid my icons on the desktop yet still have them on the bar. Great idea thanks! thumbsup.gif
GaribaldiKeymasterYeah thanks for all the great pics Mike! Hope you’ve more I can’t get enough drool.gif drool.gif
I like that different font on your taskbar. What is that bar across the top?

GaribaldiKeymasterQuote:Hi Folks
How about an auto treasure hunt . How we could do this is come up with a part that would be a difficult to guess . we could hide our hint or (clue’s)
in other neighboring forums. I’m not quite sure how to kick it of but we would search for our clues starting on a Monday and reveal the answer on a Friday. Say we started of with a year , example: 1953 ??? what in the auto world happened in 53 ? what car was born? when that is established you move on to a particular item or option about that year. when that is established we could figure out the name of that part whether it was a bumper or tail pipe or cig-lighter. As we go we could have an area to put our names to let others know that we have gotten threw the first and are ready to move on to the second . Now let me tell you I really stink at this lets say I’m quite clueless but it will be fun to try . Any one else have any Ideas on how to pull this of , or if even interested.Sounds like a great idea! It would be alot of fun! Why don’t we have an official list of links to other forums that we can post in, that way its a little bit easier to find the info (narrowing it down from several millions websites w00t.gif ). I’ve started an official topic about it here:

I’ll be posting an official topic about it with specific details later this week. Do you want to meet up too?
Sure I am not sure which day I am going probably sunday so I can drive the car and park inside.
Alright, if it happens it happens, if not then oh well. BTW did you see I’ve added a countdown on the hompage for Spring Jefferson?
GaribaldiKeymasterQuote:This is a common problem with Opels from the early ’70s. Our carbs sit right on top of the manifolds and the fuel line passes right in front of the engine block. Any combination of hot weather and long idling will result in vapor lock. For our cars Opel offered a heat shield that installs under the carb and helps prevent rising manifold heat from cooking the carb. Others in our group wrap heat shielding material around the fuel line in front of the engine and that really helps to solve the problem. My favorite solution is to just keep driving fast so the heat never has a chance to vaporize the fuel. icon_cool.gifYeah that is a good idea! And if you get pulled over you have a legitimate excuse! GaribaldiKeymasterQuote:It was definitely a nice day for a cruise. I took some pictures of my car at my favorite park which made it very rewarding. The only thing that makes me nervous when going there, and it’s something that I have accepted, are the prisoners assigned to do clean up work around the park. Drogar-BigGrin(LBG).gifYou’ll have to post those pics!! drool.gif
I took a couple of the ’56 tbird as well, I’ll post them up.GaribaldiKeymasterQuote:One thing I have found to be extremely valuable is a magnetic dish for holding all the bolts, nuts, washers, springs, and so forth that are removed during any disassembly process. How many times have we all put these items in a small box, tray, or loose on the floor and then “accidently” bumped the box with your foot sending the items off to never-never land! Of course having size 12 shoes doesn’t help either Drogar-Laugh(LBG).gif With the magnetic tray I still at times will bump it but at least I haven’t lost any more parts! The only hard part is finding a “plastic” magnet for the plastic parts icon_cheesygrin.gifYeah those are great! Its nice to have one for the left and right sides as well, to keep everything seperate (like you would with the door panels, ect). Let me know if you can find that plastic one, I’d like to get one too! w00t.gif
GaribaldiKeymasterQuote:Quote:Maybe I’ll keep a low profile until all this blows over. icon_cheesygrin.gif It’ll be ok. I have a great gf but unfortunately this garter may inadvertinly speed things up.Run. Run swiftly …and don’t look back! icon_cheesygrin.gif
