I’ve been playing the bass guitar for about 3 weeks now, and have the main riff to Black Sabbaths’ “Sweet Leaf” down pretty good. I chose the bass because I like the playing styles of Gene Simmons (KISS), Nikki Sixx (Motley Crue), Jason Newsted (Metallica), and David Ellefson (Megadeth) to name a few.
I love cranking my amp up to 11 and hit the power cords
If you like bass playing, give a listen to King’s X. dUG Pinnick is phenomenal
lordairgtarParticipantHow did they rate the countries? Ease of access? Efficacy of treatments? Cost to the individuals?
lordairgtarParticipantThe car they show as a Triumph TR6 is actually a Triumph GT+6, a very nice car similar to a Spitfire but with a beautiful fast back GT style body and bigger engine. The Spit had a four cylinder whereas the GT+6 had the six.
lordairgtarParticipantDate noted and booked, Thanks Aaron.
lordairgtarParticipantI think it’s a great looking car.
lordairgtarParticipantKia Soul and it’s annoying hamster commercial. The Nissan Cube as well.
lordairgtarParticipantAny car with those annoying stick family stickers in the rear window…mostly on mini vans.
lordairgtarParticipantAn older car could be relatively simple to rewire as most harnesses are reproduced now for the popular ones. An engine can be disassembled and rebuilt, upholstery done. Could be some good buys out there for someone who wants to do the work involved.
lordairgtarParticipantNot really car related, but I’m in the process of getting all my music put on a hard drive so I do not have to cart around 5 cases of CDs to the car shows I DJ.
lordairgtarParticipantThat’s an awesome story.
lordairgtarParticipantAs usual, I am looking forward to this event. I will speak to my Milwaukee based car club and see if anyone is willing to come help out. most being from the Milwaukee area will make it tough contacting potential donors and sponsors. What exactly do you need done so I can present it to the club. This is a long shot, but I will try and see if they want to help.
lordairgtarParticipantI wonder if there is a breakdown showing if failing stations are independents or major chain stores.
lordairgtarParticipantThere couldn’t be a better company to purchase the assets. Johnson Controls has been around since 1885 starting out as the Johnson Electrical Service Company. They produced room to room temp controls and pneumatic controls also. They produced cars, trucks, ambulances from 1901 to about 1914. Powered by gas, steam and electric. Very old Wisconsin company, perfect fit for battery technology.

I certainly would consider going if they allowed a newer vehicle. I could even be hired to DJ that show if need be.

As a member of Wisconsin Street Rod Association, I can say that the work involved planning, setting up, getting trophies, t-shirts made, paying the venue and insurance, et cetera for a yearly show that brings in that many cars every year (especially a four year old show) is a task that is quite monumental in scope. No, you won’t please everyone…and it would be a fools errand to try. The Road Apples do a great job doing this show and I am proud to have been a part of it the first three years. I will say that those who are upset over such small things as class placement ought to try and create a show that 99% of the people enjoy. Kudos to Road Apples for a job well done. I am The Mighty Lord Air Gtar…and I told you so!
