I agree completely! The old cars have a unique style, every last one of them. All the cars today just look the same, like jellybeans. Its really not that much fun anymore to see cars go down the road because they all jus blur together.
GaribaldiKeymasterQuote:Yes, I thought I would mention it in his honorGood idea, its a nice tribute. 😉
GaribaldiKeymasterQuote:I followed B5 more closely than I did with Farscape. It seemed like B5 was slow at first but really picked up speed around year 3. One of my favorite all time episodes of the show and favorite space battle of all time was when Babylon 5 broke away from the Earth Alliance. The large battle ensued and the B5 sucession seemed all but lost when low and behold the Minbaris came out of nowhere to defend the station. A classic episode. Also another couple of good ones was Space: Above and Beyond as well as Sliders.
Oh BTW I also carry my SG-1 alligence everywhere I go. I saw this dealer selling decals from Sci-Fi shows on eBay and it was a no brainer for me. 😆
That’s a great decal!! I’ll have to get something like that.
Unforunately for me scifi stopped showing B5 right around season 3 so I missed it completely! 😥 I have seen seasons 4 and 5, which are both great! I’m thinking of buying season 3 though!
I’ve also seen sliders, another great show.GaribaldiKeymasterQuote:Quote:With some new cars, on the rear they have four lines of text telling you that the thing has anti-lock brakes, multi-point injection, 24 Valve V-6, and a GPS locator. It’s like driving a billboard :confused5:Then on top of that, they have the gall to place a ‘special edition’ emblem. Just another excuse to markup the car an extra $5,000 or so.
Sometimes I think we’re better off buying a vehicle used then taking our chances with dealerships.
There’s a seinfeld episode that illustrates this really well, its called “The Dealership.” Elaine’s boyfriend Putty is working there and getting Jerry an inside deal on a car. But then they breakup and Putty starts tacking on all these extra expenses like undercoating… later he says “yeah we don’t even know what that undercoating does.” 😆 😆 😆 😆
And of course George says, “Fix my car at a dealership? Ha, why don’t I just throw my money out the window.”Its funny how they always add those lx or limited edition names or logos to cars. Limited edition, they make like 5,000 of them! 😆 😆 😆
GaribaldiKeymasterQuote:Here’s one for ya. One of the rarest ones out there. How about a 1967 COPO Corvette, one of one.http://home.houston.rr.com/mikegold2000gt/Cars/1967%20COPO%20Corvette.jpg
The image is rather large but at least you have more wallpaper for your computer. 😆
aaaaaahhhhhhh….. such a soothing scene right by the ocean..
What a nice vette! :headbang: Its such a beautiful car too, the lines really flow..
If you want why don’t you put that image in an album on the Photo Gallery?
GaribaldiKeymasterThat’s a very nice Photoshop job there! I’ve worked with photoshop a fair amount, actually I used it to create the buttons on the side of the site. Maybe you could bring back a little of the old styling with the concave two-tone sides?
Very nice design though, I like the pop-up headlights!GaribaldiKeymasterQuote:Mine was fire engine red on top and midnight black along the bottom, and had fat tires in back. It was just for show, though, as the old push-button automatic transmission (look at the last picture, on the dashboard, to the left of the steering wheel) and unkillable slant-6 engine, not the V8 described here, would take it from 0 to 60 …in about 60 . But I thought it sure looked good.Red and black, a nice combination!! The push-button transmission is cool, you don’t see it too often.
If you want why don’t you register a username over at our Photo Gallery:

and post some pics, especially for those members who don’t have access to VH OT. 😉GaribaldiKeymasterQuote:Excellent! That gold 67 Mustang is just like the one I had when I was 18. Only mine was a red GT and I replaced the stock 390 for a breathed on 428 Cobra Jet. I wish I had pictures of it.
If you find any pics please post them in an album!!

GaribaldiKeymasterQuote:Also the back tp the furture car.The Delorean?
GaribaldiKeymasterQuote:When my wife and I were shopping for a car Feb. 2003, we saw a 1968, lime green. Stock 383 but oh so clean. It was the dealer’s own car and he had it inside the showroom. They were asking $18K and I had to resist the urge.
That must have been hard!
GaribaldiKeymasterQuote:I like the clean exterior look on that car. Nothing but the “GTO” on the front, not some decal about what kind of injection/carburetion or how many valves ….just ….”G T O”Exactly… GTO plain and simple!!
GaribaldiKeymasterQuote:I guess we all like to feed our car habit in all shapes and forms. Anybody out there collect diecast models? I like to keep a few around at home and the office to help keep my sanity, especially at the office. 😆Below is one of my models of the 2003 Mustang Mach I from AutoArt. AutoArt has incredible detail right down to having carpeted flooring. I also have the AutoArt offering of the Chevrolet Corvette Z06 in Quicksilver.
Wow! That’s a cool background you have for the model too! I have a model of a 1958 Corvette, I’ll grab a pic of it and post it here.
GaribaldiKeymasterVery nice Mike!
I wouldn’t mind going with this nice 70 GTX:
