moparkid25ParticipantQuote:What day does everyone prefer for shows on the weekend, Saturday or Sunday? Do you find you often have scheduling conflicts on one of the days?
Like Jesus, I prefer to rest on the seventh day jumpy.gif
I prefer them on Saturdays. Sundays can at times make for a long day and Monday morning seems to come awful fast. I think you get a better turnout on a saturday also unless its a big show like Blanchardville. Doing double-duty on the weekends (both sat and sun) is tough during the hot, humid season.
It’s only 8 weeks to the Dells thumbsup.gif Is anyone else besides cirlcetrack and myself spending the weekend up there?

I have heard that it will go higher, then come back down around May. You can’t really trust any of these fools who predict gas prices, it’s almost like being a weatherman-you can be wrong and it doesn’t seem to matter.
Personally, I’d drive to Fox Lake.
moparkid25ParticipantThere was a Rambler parked on Main St. in Mount Horeb at lunchtime yesterday.
moparkid25ParticipantBill Gates is a Dumbass. He’s got more money than he could ever spend, why he would want to make a decision like that and take jobs away from QUALIFIED AMERICANS is beyond me.
Oh, that’s right, he has to pay taxes on all that money BangHead.gif
moparkid25ParticipantWhy he would risk everything he had for a lil’ tail on the side is beyond me.
A wife, 3 kids, THE GOVERNOR OF NEW YORK!!! Stupid people make stupid decisions.
moparkid25ParticipantThe twit has to get his Texas oil-buddies one more big profit before he’s out of office BangHead.gif
$111 for a barrel of oil, WTF? Let’s kill the economy some more.
Will high fuel prices stop me from having fun with cars? probably not, but I’ll be doing one of these at the pumps BangHead.gif
moparkid25ParticipantThe main reason GM chose to buy out was because of the number of Chevrolet Dealers in our area. You had Ballweg, Erickson, Thorstad, and Symdon all within 20 miles of each other. GM is consolidating where they need to, unfortunately Erickson got the squeeze. John is a very nice induvidual, and I think he will do well after close of business. Most of his employees have gotten offers from various businesses and I think most of them will be ok.

moparkid25ParticipantMy first choice would have to be another ’68 or ’69 Dodge Charger R/T. I’ve had a infactuation with these cars since I was young. I just turned 27 in January, and can say I have been lucky enough to have owned two very nice Chargers so far in my life. Right now with new business ventures it’s not in the cards to go drop a decent amount of cash on another one, but I look forward to purchasing another one in the next couple of years.
Next would be a 1968 Ford Mustang Fastback. I’m not a Ford guy, but I like that car. My dad had one brand new when he was in high school and it was identical to the one Steve McQueen drove in ‘Bullitt’.
Next would be a 1973-1980 Chevy truck. When I was a kid, the old man had a ’74 that was black and chrome (just like everything else he drives nowadays-his dodge truck, his volvo semi, and his harley) with a 454. I remember crying as a young tyke because my thumbs weren’t strong enough to push the button on the outside door handles to open the doors. It was just cool.
Last would be a late 80’s or early 90’s Chevy IROC Z28 Camaro with the 5.7 TPI. I always wanted one of these! Easy bolt on hotrods, fuel injected, and has nice lines. All the cool guys in the generation ahead of me had these and always had good looking babes in the passenger seats!
moparkid25ParticipantI was under the impression that the WSC had moved there cruise nights to Arby’s out on County N about the middle of last summer due to conflicts with new management at Wendy’s in SP. Am I mistaken? I remember those nights at Wendy’s it was very hard to get a parking spot if you weren’t there by 6pm. However, with that Arby’s being located in a strip mall I could see problems with parking there also…
moparkid25ParticipantQuote:And rain, glorious rain. This is the only time I year I will say that. I am happy with a drought in the summer, but right now….melt this stuff.Agreed. I’ll take an overcast, rainy 45 degree day over a sunny, cold, 15* day this time of year. Granted, the ravine behind my new house will be flowin’ like the mighty mississippi this spring, but I don’t care. I want my house finished, I want to move out this apartment, I want to be outside, I want to drive cool and fast cars again!
This time of year if it does snow, it won’t last that long.
moparkid25ParticipantQuote:He is republican, what do you expect? Each party has time when their positions are relevant and necessary. Now is simply not a time for republican thinking.
Now is the time where all the politicians from BOTH sides need to get there heads out of there a$$es and try to work together to save this slipping economy. As I posted in another thread, I’m not real crazy about McCain having the nomination for the RNC.
Helping Airbus get that contract only put money in his campaign account.
