Search Youtube on Obama’s interviews. My favorite is the one where he says he’s visited 57 states in the US and has two to go.
Obama and Biden can’t talk if a teleprompter isn’t in front of them. McCain can’t talk with or without one.
I’ll still take McCain over Obama.

moparkid25ParticipantQuote:CHANGE seems to be the buzzword for 2008.If “change is good” in politics, then an owner who changes cars for the new year is even better!
moparkid25, what is your definition of change for 2009 and after?
I can’t give away all my secrets, Marshall jumpy.gif
moparkid25ParticipantI didn’t attend the show, but DDhemi and myself (with the girlfriend in tow) attended the Beloit Crimestoppers Cruise Night on saturday. Many of the parking lots were full in the downtown area with muscle cars, street rods, new muscle, lowriders, etc. We were at the burnout box for at least three hours! No matter what is performing the burnie, I’m always impressed. Kinda like a trainwreck, you can’t take your eyes off it! One fox body mustang in particular decided to remove the pistons and connecting rods while the oil pan was still bolted to the block, that was cool until a chunk of metal that blasted out of the engine hit one of the crew workers in the leg taking him down for a minute. Lotsa junk doing burnouts, and ironically some of the best burnouts came from the junk. We also sat and watched the cruise. It was really a fun night! A good end to the summer, when it started to wind down I looked at my cell phone to see what time it was, and it was midnight! I had been there almost 7 hours and it went by fast. I wish every saturday night could be that fun thumbsup.gif
Marshall, you were not the only one that got some ideas for next years “new toy”, I now have a few ideas myself to seriously consider for next year and those to follow…
moparkid25ParticipantBeloit cruise night Saturday night for me and my crew thumbsup.gif
moparkid25ParticipantYep, if your showing this weekend you better have your waders.
I have to say that I attended the shows I always enjoy this year.
Maybe I’m getting old, or burnt out at the old age of 27, but this year it seems I just didn’t have it in me to hit up every show I could. Maybe I’m getting burned out, maybe I’m tired of seeing the same cars over and over again (no offense to any of the forum members), but I have a feeling next year will play a totally different scenario for me.
I’ve already begun shopping for another car. Can’t make up my mind between classic muscle or newer performance. While classic muscle has that nostalgic look, feel, and sound, newer performance is virtually “snap your fingers” fast and turn key. With the newer stuff, you can lose your ass on it. Most of the time with the classics, you can generally profit from the sale.
2009 will be an interesting year, I can’t wait to see where our country will be at and what comes about from shows as #’s were down many places this year.
moparkid25ParticipantMarshall,
Try listing on eBay. I know a lot of people don’t like eBay, but I’ve had great luck myself. eBay has changed there fee policies as of Sept. 2nd and actually have a really fair pricing schedule now.
eBay is worldwide advertising, and many, many people will shop there. It’s quite possible you will make a sale outside of eBay, but just to proctect yourself make sure you have a sentence stating that car is also for sale locally, and that you reserve the right to end the auction at any time.

moparkid25ParticipantQuote:yeah, I agree, the judging for this show was pretty bad. I got to see my score sheet after the show. I had scores crossed out and lowered in two different categories after the fact (were in a totally different color ink). I was told that I lost to that one 2006 or 2007 (?) Roush Mustang that won “Best of Class” and “Best of Show” by two points. Guess what the difference of the crossed out and changed numbers were….two points. I was pretty frustrated when such a new car won “Best of Show”. Neither him nor I deserved “Best of Show” when there were so many other nice older RESTORED cars there that were more deserving. It almost seemed to me that when they received the score sheets from the judge, they got together and started making changes on their own. I have no proof of this, but the changes I saw made to my score sheet makes me think this.Paul
I totally agree with you, even though that Roush Mustang you speak of is my best friends’ car. He is also a member here on the forum-DDHemi. We were in a hurry to get out of town that day in fear they would send a lynch mob after him for winning both awards 😯
As I said before, this is one I’ll have to contemplate about returning to next year.
moparkid25ParticipantQuote:I am a huge fan of the 60’s Impala’s. My second car was a 63 Impala Sport Coupe (same body as SS). I used to know everything in and out of that car. If you end up getting one and want some help, let me know.A good friend of mine had a ’63 Impala SS when we were in high school. 327, 4 gear, 4.56 posi with ladder bars and air shocks. Stop light to stoplight it was a hard car to catch on East Wash. I made him some side pipes in shop class with glasspacks….you didn’t want to be beside him when he down shifted and put the gas thru the floorboards!!!
moparkid25ParticipantNothing for me until next weekend when I will attend the cruise night in Beloit on the 20th.
moparkid25ParticipantQuote:Did the mid 80’s corvette win best of show AGAIN? I refuse to go to that show after two years in a row the SAME corvette won best of show, icon_scratch.gif There was also a car in my class that was rusty and had the engine painted with a spray can that won. I don’t mind not getting a trophy BUT when my daily driver is nicer than the car that beat me? dontknow.gif Sorry I have better things to do!Jeremy,
Get your Corvette’s straight – the two year best of show winner was a ’92 Drogar-Laugh(LBG).gif I see that car around quite a bit, there’s no reason whatsoever for that car to win Best of Show anywhere.
I also do not attend this show anymore for the same reason above and for many other reasons, one of which was mentioned in another post. It does seem that even though this is an all-makes show, a hell of a lot of Pontiacs always win.
moparkid25ParticipantQuote:Here are the basics:1965 Mustang Fastback 2+2, Factory Color Twilight Turquoise, 3 Speed Manual Transmission, 289 (A Code) V-8 motor, black vinyl (standard) interior, offered at $27,500.
Let me know if you need a home phone number or cell phone number and I will provide that in a PM.
Thanks,
MarshallMarshall,
Let me know if I can do anything to help you out.
moparkid25ParticipantI don’t think your interferring with anyone elses’ plans if your only going to have a cruise night a few times throughout the summer. If it was going to be a weekly thing, then I would suggest it be on a night where there is nothing else planned (Example: the Tuesday night RoadApples cruise night has been in place for many years, but now there is also one at Rev. Jim’s Roadhouse put on by Muscle Car Performance…Formerly House of Horsepower and Custom Hack Jobs. Why in the hell would you intentionally plan a cruise night when there is already another one going on elsewhere in the city?)
With fuel prices where there at, having an alternative for your local’s is a good idea!
moparkid25ParticipantI sent an email to the coordinator’s of this show in hopes to get some changes made for years to come.
Not sure if I’m :horse: or going to make a difference, only time will tell.
