We’re headed to Spring Green, love that show and the downtown atmosphere. Let’s hope the weather holds out!:(

Spring Green for me too! I also love the small town downtown shows. Look for a new Riv never seen before at the local shows!

We had a couple of rods come thru here late last night from Nebraska. The nut for one guys oil psi sensor had come off, so I hooked him up with a nut and washer, and an extra quart of oil for the trip “just in case” as he told me he was using this trip for his break-in miles

When the guy asked me what he owed and I told him it was on the house, I thought he was gonna fall over. I explained to him that being a car guy myself, I’ve been in his shoes on more than one occasion.

He told me to look him up at the show, he’d buy me a beer thumbsup.gif

I agree, this is the way to treat people. Nice job Zac – you’ve earned my respect. thumbsup.gif

Large cup of coffee for the drive to the show… $1.36

    Fuel consumed by the 455 to/from the show… $16

Watching moparkid25 hug an inflatable National Guardsmen during the trophy presentation… Priceless

All and all an enjoyable day and a nice show. I would echo all of the previous suggestions for next year, and would not hesitate to go back. My preference is for a judged show, but participant judging is O.K. every once in a while as well…

Jellystone Park appears to be a cool location and it sounds like a fun weekend. This show will be on my list for next year…

    Specific Ratings (A-F):
Arrival/Departure (easy to find, easy to leave?) – B, signage directing show cars would be more helpful.
Parking Location – B+, the downtown location is great, but as Amigo2k mentioned the parking set-up was a little weird. Not very organized with helping cars get parked.
    Class Organization – B
Trophies & Prizes – B, small plastic trophies – your standard fare
Food – A, had a full breakfast w/coffee at a local diner for $5.50! That’s my kind of place. Also, Taste of Monroe happening on the opposite side of the downtown square. Looked like a great variety of food.
Entertainment – C, DJ from 3-D Sound Company. He continually droned on about Krispy Kreme donuts in the late afternoon. Very annoying. Decent variety of music played throughout the day however – not just the “oldies”
Judging – B+, several local car show regulars stepped up to help with the judging. I thought they did a nice job.
Dash Plaque – B+, I was car #7 and had to ask the folks at the registration table if they were giving any away this year. They had forgotten to get them out of the car! Sorry Amigo2k, you should have received one.
Variety of Cars – B+, a nice mix – some you have seen before and some that you haven’t.
    Bathrooms – B+, no trouble finding a porta-potty.
Weather – A-, the weather was gorgeous just about all day until about 3 PM when a storm blew in. The best part was driving from Mt. Horeb to Monroe in the morning. No one on the road and perfect weather!
Trophy Presentation Timing – A, they were right on time and kept it moving
    Entry Fee – A, $12 – pretty standard and a fair price
    Overall Rating:B

A very enjoyable location for a car show. The organizers are a bit inexperienced, as I think there is a new group running the show. Hopefully people will not get discouraged and continue to patronize this show. Show car attendance was definitely down from previous years. Spectator traffic was very good. It was nice to see many forum members in attendance – moparkid25, GTOMan, Garibaldi, DDhemi. I will go back again next year…

The only best of award I’ll get this year will probably be “Best Looking MOPAR Guy”, it seems to be an easy award for me to win!!!

That’s true, provided they have a “Super Flyweight” (90 – 110 lbs) class!

Do they let Camaro’s enter an all-MOPAR show? If they do, I’ll bet you win best of show! Drogar-BigGrin(LBG).gif

Very nice photos – thanks Garibaldi. The VW bus looks like the Ronald McDonald mobile (sorry Ryan).

I also agree with Ryan. For me, Jefferson is nothing but a bunch of yahoos and junk.

I can’t figure out why this idiot got voted in the second time.

Due to the overabundance of granola eating, Birkenstock wearing, tree huggers that vote in this state – particularly from the Madison area…
